How can my personal thoughts not paint an honest picture exactly? It's what I think about the game.

Just another person on the internet who has to be right I see.

When I say I'm playing a game terribly it means I'm not very good at it, you can read into that all you like, but that's all it is. It's quite a standard saying to say you are terrible at something, but enjoy it all the same. Common knowledge that isn't it?

I also said "The only thing I dislike", meaning I actually like everything else about the game.

If you don't have something nice to say, why bother at all?

Then go play your shoeshine simulator and I will continue to have fun with a fun game.

We are trying to boost our Premium features other than just no-adverts, but I haven't been able to come up with too many ideas just yet.

Fundraising like I've stated previously isn't something a service like GOL should/can do now, we aren't a charity and there isn't a set target which is part of the reason why GOL Premium is a subscription service and not a permanent buy-once deal.

I feel like I am repeating myself on that...

A hardware wishlist is probably a good idea since I need a work laptop (unless someone fancies donating a laptop) and a microphone since that broke.

The Interstellar Marines Developers Are Working On Their Linux Version Right Now

"Absolutely. We've mentioned this a few times in this thread, we're planning on releasing a Linux version during the first half of this year."

Well...I guess that didn't happen.
Was there a need to re-quote that? The developers are communicating and may have a build out in a few weeks if we are luckily, would you prefer they kept waiting and didn't openly talk about it?

Anyone who pays for GOL Premium Stan has their end-date on their control panel for easy tracking.

As for providing a "gauge" I cannot do that, since as stated many times it is income for me, not just to pay GOL's server bills, there is no gauge on my life.

I see no problem stating that, so it has been added to the donate/premium page under its own section.

If Liam needs to relax, and a [choose your vice] does the job, then that actually helps GOL. Trying to write articles, or even do research for them, isn't the job of a machine, it's the job of a person.

With regards to ads, it's unfortunate that they're needed, but they are. Not blocking them, or donating, or both, is how we can actively help keeps sites we like afloat.

I also like to think how much I used to spend on magazines and newspapers. And they were loaded with ads. Compared to that, not adblocking here seems...trivial.
Bingo, I am a person, everything takes time, time is money and time I could spend out looking for what other people would consider a "real" job.

I will probably do a monthly reminder on this issue.

If any adverts come up that are dubious/malware you should report them to me asap along with the url they go to for me to block it. I can't make the ads better if people don't let me know :)

As for a few people mentioning the size of the advert above the comments, I can do a weeks test on a horizontal advert rather than a square and see what it's like.
