Quoting: CybolicI'll have to disagree as well.
The audio is crackling for me, like in many other Wine games, and the loading times, the delay for the pause menu and loading/saving are several minutes and I'm on a 4GHz Intel i7 with 48GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 660 Ti and running the game from a striped SSD array - there's clearly something wrong with the Wine layer.
Move the audio off of OpenAL, fixed the sound for me.

Tropico 5 City-Building Sim To Release Along-Side Steam Machines

Quoting: pbI have a feeling that when Steamboxes start to ship, they will be accompanied by some big releases - Tropico 5, Civilization V, X-COM, Project Cars, maybe Age of Wonders 3, and... could it be... Half-Life 3? I'm not sure if HL3 has been in the works long enough, though.
I agree, it now makes me pretty sure XCOM is also waiting for the first Steam Machine release.

Indeed, their tweet said PC and I mistakenly thought that included Linux since it was a supported platform, but no they as-well use PC when they mean Windows. Wasn't until I saw they also did a post on their site stating that.

Quoting: CybolicWell... lost and lost... [They were found again](http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126456&page=31&p=2035146&viewfull=1#post2035146 [External Link]), but I'm guessing the legality of found source code versus old source code is beyond mere mortals.
Indeed, a company can't just use someones "found" source-code, they would need to audit every-line character by character to make sure there was no tampering...and that's too time consuming for anyone to do.

Well I streamed a bit on twitch last night for Linux folks and it worked well, only annoying thing is the auto-save is a bit rubbish and i lost all my progress :(

Took some configuring to get it into windowed mode too, but once that was done performance was utterly flawless.
