Interstellar Marines FPS Still Plans To Release On Linux This Year

Having a Linux install and not knowing it and and out are two different things, he clearly said they don't have any Linux boxes, hence the quote.

Quoting: BumYes, he did say that, that is a direct quote from his post, please read it properly.I am still unsure as to why "we have no Linux boxes" is ever used by anyone as an excusehe did not say that, he said he has no linux support in place, sure he can install it next to windows if he wants but that is not having linux support in place, people will come with bugs and he needs to be able to reproduce them to fix them, so just saying linux is free and he can install it is silly. He will need to learn, needs to understand the os, needs to have a tool chain on there to compile and run the game in 32/64bit with adm/nvidia and with open and closed drivers....

Quoting: AnonymousWell I disagree, I think it is well worth it, it has decent graphics and game-play you won't find in any other RTS.Quoting: liamdaweNo, but my friend has it and he said that it isnt worth 40$.Quoting: paupavI think that that game isn't worth 41$.. Not saying that its bad game, just that it isn't worth 41$.Have you played it to know what it is worth?

Developer Sells Game On IndieGameStand DRM Free, Then Removes DRM Free Version

Quoting: thwal5So this annoys you? what about the humble guys?Common doesn't make something right, also the quote below is the actual point:
* Brütal legend req. Steam for MP
* Dungeon defenders req. Steam for MP
* the old DRM free Jamestown download req now Steam
it's totally common these days...
Quoting: Rob on LinuxYes but the point with Brutal Legend & Dungeon Defenders is they were up front & said it was steam only, this developer sold a game as DRM free then changed it while still selling it as DRM free, dishonesty doesn't pay, if you make a promise or offer something stick to it or else.Selling a game DRM free, then removing then DRM free version is not good business or good PR.
Gameolith Adds Fair Pricing To Their Game Store

Quoting: kozecThat isn't a Fair Price title though, so it's nothing to do with this scheme.Quoting: liamdaweSorry if I expressed myself too vaguely. That 39,99€$ price is from Gameolith :(Quoting: kozecSadly, this is EXACT same thing that Humble store does and nothing to be glad about. For example, Europa Universalis IV costs $39.99 or 39,99€ depending how american you are.No, that is completely different. That is a 1:1 transfer, this is a exchange rate conversion.
Being informed about fair price is nice, but most likely, they are doing it only to get some attention in that Humble Store thing.
So $39.99 would be around 29.11€ on Gameolith's fair price scheme.

DoubleFine sadly are one of the developers who do decide to do some funny stuff with their pricing. It actually costs more in £ than it does in $ for Broken Age.

Personally I think his reply does sound a little cocky, cocky also isn't a bad term FYI it means:
Conceited or confident in a bold or cheeky way.So I am essentially saying he sounded a bit cheeky. Don't think I am being so negative when I am not ;)

Oh I'm not dismissing that at all, I just think it should be part of the contract to have all ports ready that's all.
