Its a really neat game. Running it on medium has it running smooth but it looks like crap. I do say though that it gives me a chuckle whenever I poop. I guess my inner 5 year old will never go away. Multiplayer is a challenge. Lots of room for iwprozement.

Hrm, I just sent in a refund request for StarDrive 2, which I have played for 3 hours. It was approved and I also bought it when it was released. I really wish there was some indication on whether or not I will get a refund on a game or not rather than it being a crap-shoot.

Well of the 10 refund requests I put in, only 2 have gone through. All of them were old windows games I bought over 6 months ago at the earliest. The major publishers are the only ones that gave me a refund. Seems smaller studios are REALLY sticking to the 2 week purchase limit.

I am not sure if I like it yet. I purchased it because I got a nice discount due to owning StarDrive 1, but so far it has not "wow'ed" me. The X-Com-esque ground combat is neat but I wish they would have kept the "real-time" galaxy map instead of having to hold down the spacebar.

I played Strife when it first went into alpha and it was pretty neat. I stopped playing because I was afraid it would turn into Heroes of Newerth with all the rage and hate.

There are already several controllers with excellent native support in Linux (with SDL2). Sadly that does not translate to universal support in games. Even some big budget titles/ports manage to mess things up. I doubt this will change overnight when the Steam Controller comes out. Which controllers are you talking about? I would love an excellent controller because my Logitech F310 does not work.

I have an old Logitech wingman extreme gamepad which sadly has a ruptured button membrane and has worked flawlessly since I've bought it 16 years ago, had a gravis joystick about the same age that also worked until it stopped working, I have a cheap usb gamepad of crappy quality that also worked out of the box as well as a Logitech wingman extreme joystick that also work flawlessly, not to mention there are xbox and PS controllers and a multitude of others compatible with those consoles that also work flawlessly under linux.

EDIT: BTW a quick google search tells me that your gamepad works just fine if you set the switch on the bottom to the right mode.

I've tried to do the switch thingy on the back of the controller and I still can't get it to work. Can you link where you saw that?
