Will you pick up a copy to support the developer?I'll wait until there is a SteamOS icon and the requirements are updated to show Linux. I know the build is available but until that icon is present I'll sit tight.
Did you miss Shadow Warrior for free last month? It's free again on Steam this time

<-- See's "Shadow Warrior" in the title and thinks "Shadow Warrior 2," get's overly excited, finally comprehends the title, lets out a sad sigh and decides to tell the GoL community about it.

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

The longer the Linux client was delayed the less I felt inclined to purchase games from GoG. I had wanted an alternative to Steam that was DRM free and provided achievements (I use them as a means to track if I've really explored all of a game or missed something.)
On the plus side, the lack of a GoG client led me to other services like Game Jolt so in a way, I'm thankful the client never happened while at the same time sad and not surprised that it won't happen.
Either way, I have no hard feeling for GoG, they have a business to run and at best the Linux community as thought CD Projeck Red to be wary of it after Witcher II.

For me, it's the very improbable three Skyrim, Witcher 3 and Doom.

I admit that if I was a Windows user or used Wine to play most of my games I would most likely have the reaction we saw at the live reveal. However, as I mostly play native or ported games I'm excited assuming it comes to Linux as we don't have a good CCG for Linux that is officially supported and so far I've had an experience with Valve's Linux titles.
Mad Max released for Linux, port report and review available

On my main rig I'm experiencing a solid 72fps* at 2560x1440 and all settings maxed (used custom settings to max out everything as there is no profile for max settings.) All I can say is I'm impressed, I heard how Mad Max performed very well on Windows and I'm glad to see that translated over to Linux. Feral did an amazing job with this port and so far I've had no issue and very smooth gameplay experience.
Liam, I normally have similar audio issues on my notebook. I've yet to test Mad Max on my notebook but I do plan on it as I want to see how it runs on a 980m. If I experience any audio issues I'll let you know.
*Update: I just noticed I had v-sync on which seems to cap my fps at 72, with v-sync disabled I'm avg 86fps outside and 101 indoors. It doesn't change much and I'll most likely keep v-sync on, I just wanted to make sure I was being honest about what my main system was getting (see PC Info for details.)

Oh, I will be purchasing Mad Max; I've been anticipating its release on Linux since it was first in the press release and later redacted.
Now all I need is for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" to be officially announced. ;)

Thank you for the update; it reminded me to update my system information. I recently switched back to my old desktop as I was experiencing too many random freezes on my notebook. One plus is I had an excuse to update my desktop's video card from the old Nvidia 680 to a Nvidia 1080. Not long after I replaced my old failing 1920x1200 TN display with a 1440p 144hz IPS G-Sync screen.
The later was a nice visual change and provided the plus of no noticeable tearing on Linux (yay for no more tearing on Linux.) :P

I really hope that Mars = DOOM. I as want to play DOOM and have been fighting the urge to purchase it for Windows as I feel it is ripe for porting over to Linux and Mac OS.

This is the news I've been secretly hoping for every time I saw an article on "Gaming on Linux" or "Phoronix" that had Nvidia or Wayland in the title. Now I can calm down every time I see Wayland or Nvidia in the title and instead look forward to gaming with no tearing!
I think this weekend I'll make a Wayland build of Arch Linux or Antergos for my notebook and see what comes of it.
Oh happy days, I wonder what this will lead to with Linux gaming and Linux lets plays in the future.
Add to that the news about Wines first push for support of Windows apps with Vulkan support and today has me wondering if I'm dreaming.
