I think it's wonderful to receive free (or discounted) Linux ports of games I previously bought on Windows, but I certainly don't expect them. On my version of Earth things just don't work like that except in special cases. It's not normal to receive two things whenever we buy one thing. I.e.:
Well said, Liam! Case closed.

A very exciting-looking title that I'm keeping my fingers crossed for. I wish-listed it back in September, but it's got a long way to go before it convinces my wallet to open up.

This looks and sounds very similar to manipulating the robot, B.U.D., in Grow Home, which I just started last night, as it happens. It took a bit of time to get the knack of the reach-and-grab mechanic, and what seemed fiddly controls at first turned out to be a combination of me and my Steam Controller's config.
Speaking of controls, I'm playing G.H. on the Steam Controller, and I found it much easier putting hand-grabs on the triggers, and switching the movement from the stick to the left pad. Maybe that would make it easier to control the guy in City Climber as well?
I wishlisted and followed this game based on the wonderful art style alone. Now, having read your review, and coincidentally beginning G.H., it's clear to me that this will be a title to buy!

Game: This looks wonderful, and I'm glad Aspyr is bringing it to Linux.
Physics palaver: A make-believe story in a make-believe world with make-believe laws of nature and sure enough there are people discussing the unreality of those laws. I'd say it was sad, but in trying to address it, I stumbled across a new phrase that shines like a chrome razor blade: nihil ad rem. So thank you armchair physicists!

Quoting: liamdaweIt also has a new grouping system on the menu, so you can team up with your friends before going into battle. Why more games don't make this option available I'll never know. That these devs have added it and challenging co-op vs AI (PvAI?) impresses me enough to add them to my wishlist and follow their development.

The art is refreshingly adorable, but the jaded gamer in my brain has already walked away mumbling about "...another 2D flying shooty thing." (He burned out on the genre in 1983 around his 1,500th hour of Asteroids on the Atari 2600, so his opinion on these matters bears little objectivity.)
I'm sure it's a very nice game made by lovely people from upstanding families and, for those who are keen on such things, worth looking forward to.

We should be so lucky!
We usually only get the corpses of donkeys semi-melted with acid by devs who want to remove all evidence they ever said anything about a Linux port. XD

Quoting: Spl-itI actually got excited for a moment when I saw the trailer, until it showed the unity3d icon... I think we've all had our share of unity3d kickstarter projects that get developed on windows where the devs are "really excited" about a linux build.3 legged donkeys on acid?
Lets just hope this one really does make it to linux and doesnt have the performance of a 3 legged donkey on acid.

1. I've never heard of this.
2. I'm glad you told me about this.
3. I don't play "horror" games.
4. I'd play this game.
Really, this cartoon horror mongrel looks perfect. The fact that it lacks any pretense other than "get through the rooms" removes my usual problem with "horror" games: a reason to do what the developers want me to do. To whit:
Game:...Go in this dark room.
Me:.....No.
Game:...Please, there are creepy noises inside.
Me:.....No. In fact, I'm leaving.
Game:...But, it's pouring rain outside.
Me:.....Don't care.
Game:...Your car is broken down, you need to find a phone to call for help.
Me:.....I have two perfectly good legs. I'll walk.
Game:...I'm pretty sure there's a phone in this dark room, though.
Me:.....Piss off.
And so on and --- to quote the late, great David Rakoff --- ad extreme projectile nauseam.

This was one of the first games I played (and played, and played) after I first got my Xbox 360 back in 2008. I played HL2 as part of The Orange Box, so it came with episodes 1 & 2, and to this day I can't tell you which bits were part of the original game, and which bits were episodes. (Well, except the final battle of episode two because GODDAMMITVALVERELEASEEPISODETHREEALREADYAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!
Really, though, Liam. Playing HL2 and not playing episodes 1 & 2 is great, but it's only great like foreplay is great. No matter how good it is, it isn't sex, and it isn't orgasm. You need to finish what you started.
You have yet to lose your Half-life 2 virginity, my friend. XD
P.S. I'm pretty sure that What you're calling a "hovercraft thing" is actually called an "airboat." [External Link]
