Sounds reeeeally interesting. The only thing odd about it, is the mention of DX12 instead auf Vulkan. If it comes to linux, I'll most likely buy it :)

The next version of SDL will have Vulkan support locked in

Well, indirect it is. Targeting Vulkan alone can now be enough to support all three platforms and therefore increasing the chance of Linux support :P
