I never thought of that but it's a great point, since vulkan runs on windows 7 and DX12 only runs on windows 10 or above adopting vulkan alows devs to ditch DX11.

I don't understand this logic. If the Linux version was developed simultaneously with the Windows version then this would suggest that it's not a port even if it was done by an outside contractor.

Either it's a port, a different "game" just sharing assets, or feral was only hired to do QA. My logic is that there was a base that got ported, the release schedule doesn't matter. If an early access game adds a linux version before "release" would that not be a port?

I mean, what qualifies as a port and what is just a game released on several platforms? On which platforms it's not a port and on which it is? I'd understand it being called a port if it were released on Windows first and on Mac/Linux later but that's not the case. The release was simultaneous.

I'd argue that it is a port on the basis that they had to contract out. If it was really platform agnostic from scratch why hire feral? Or maybe you should buy an Nvidia card to punish AMD? Feral doesn't write AMD's drivers, so there's no point punishing Feral for something that is out of their control.

Or maybe devs should embrace standards and write to OGL spec not undocumented NvidiaGL, just a thought.

Edit: The Mac port works on AMD so there's nothing "wrong" with AMD's OGL code it's just Feral took shortcuts and can't be arsed with a decent Linux port.

pretty much any COD
Tomb raider
A ton of lego games
the sims
dragon age

and more.

After some hours played, I've to say this might be the best game (for me) since several years.
Honestly, it's extremely entertaining and worth every cent (if you at least liked the Baldurs Gate series).

I dunno, it just crashed for me and after some googling it looked like it could be a 32-bit issue so I tried STEAM_RUNTIME=0 now it works flawlessly.
