About dgvoodoo2, it's closed source and his dev is not friendly with open source project that uses his tool.
He recently asked Lutris team and other open source projects to no more use his tool.

We need a dgvoodoo2 replacement and open source. DXVK (directx 7-8-9-10-11), DxWrapper (DirectDraw/Direct3D 1–7 to Direct3D 9 and more;..), cnc-draw (GDI, OpenGL and Direct3D 9 re-implementation of the DirectDraw API for classic 2D games) replaced a lot of dgvoodoo2 features, but what about open source solutions for 3DFX games on Linux?

I'm impressed by 3DFX emulation Dosbox-Pure can perform on Windows 98! stability and velocity.
And you can even scaling 3dfx rendering.
This emulator break a wall in 3DFX emulation on W9x.

Very interesting, could it be a solution to play old Windows 95 games and other 16 bits Windows apps that are not Wine compatible?
Or install an old Linux distribution to play Linux games that you can no more launch on recent Linux distribution (Heretic II, RUNE...).
Does the guest OS can benefit from host accelerated GPU?

Why it should be a "bad news"?
Wine 10.x version can now execute 32 bits apps without the need of this 32 bits libraries.

I never heard of this game before, will not miss me.
For the moment I'm not affected by games that use anti-cheat not compatible with Linux because I play mainly standalone games, not multiplayer.
But now that that Valve has Proton, what are the excuses to this devs to not make their games compatibles? There are already anti-cheat solution compatible with Proton, why they do not use them?

I prefer to buy my games on Steam than obtain them freely on Epic, I boycott Epic Store, I prefer to give my money to a game store that supports Linux.
