The developers of Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation are working on the Linux version

When will people spelling Vulkan and "Vulcan" surpass people saying "PC" to mean Windows as a mildly irritating pet peeve? Has it happened already?

On a serious note, while I'm not a RTS guy and likely won't get this, it's exciting to see another Vulkan game coming to the penguin library. I look forward to a glorious future where most games use Vulkan, even those without Linux support.

The Linux version of Beyond Enemy Lines is being held up by Unreal Engine 4 bugs

*sigh* With Epic jumping aboard the Vulkan train, I thought UE4 was going to be a great tool in advancing Linux gaming. Someday it still might be, but it sure is a long and bumpy road getting there.

I've been excited about this title since I fist heard mention of it some half a year ago or so. I'm very happy that it already has Linux support and look forward to getting it when it fully releases.

RUINER for Linux is now officially on hold (UPDATED)

For my own sanity, I'm just going to pretend this game doesn't exist. Then when it comes out for Linux (if it comes out for Linux), it will be a nice pleasant surprise.

Next time I see an article on here about this game, unless it explicitly reads "RUINER is now out for Linux" I'm not even clicking the link.

All signs point to Rise of the Tomb Raider, which would be fine. I'm trying to figure out a way how those clues could point to the newly announced Nioh port to PC.

Game developer 'Atlus' issues a DMCA takedown against open source PS3 emulator

Dick move by SEGA (they own Atlus now). Thank goodness Patreon were reasonable enough to use their heads and investigate the matter further and not just immediately side with the publisher. Pay attention, Youtube, this is how you properly handle DMCA claims.

Wine Staging 2.17 is out with more Direct3D11 features fixing issues in The Witcher 3, Overwatch and more

With this version the ground textures now display correctly in The Witcher 3, clearing up one of the last few graphical glitches on my system, though performance seems to have taken a bit of a hit, I get hitches and stutters far more often now, and more severe too. Still, it's progress, and I would rather the wine team get the game to where it looks perfect before concentrating on bringing performance closer to par with Windows.
