7 Mages brings a touch more of traditional dungeon crawling to Linux

I won't dismiss it just because it's clearly a mobile port, though that doesn't fill me with confidence either. Hopefully the character progression systems are decent.

We have no shortage of metroidvanias. I wonder if this one will do anything to stand out from the crowd, besides get rid of color?

Quoting: wolfyrionis this the final act so as to start playing? or I have to wait for another act in a year?

You know my memory is not that good to remember a game after 2 years so I prefer to play it once the game is finished :D
There will be one more act. I am also waiting until all 5 acts are out to play the game, as I always do with episodic games. I'll buy it day 1 the final act comes out.

Even though fighting games are not my jam, this is good to see. Always nice to see variety in a genre we're lacking in.

I won't back this simply because I'm done with crowdfunding, but I'll certainly buy it if and when it comes out for Linux.

Deep Silver confirm Homefront: The Revolution is still in the works for Linux

Quoting: PicoboomComplain. Complain. Kvetch. Whinge. Complain . . .

--- Oh, SNAP! Deep Silver has made yet another AAA (or AA, if one prefers) title available to Linux Gamers? That's awesome news! (--- but wait, no. Mustn't I find something at fault about this game's release? Yes, I believe so. AH!)

"Oh. Gosh darn. This game, it is not to be released during the Steam sale. It is a thing that is not Fair. O woe! O woe! Cry I."

There. That's done.

Thanks, as always, for the update Liam. I thought it was good news, at any rate. I'm glad you shared it. :)
In fairness, if a game has issues or lack of support, not only can you complain, I would argue that you SHOULD complain. Buying a crappy port and accepting all the issues with a smile can give developers and publishers the impression that we're so starved for games that we'll accept anything, no matter how poor and that they can just cut corners and slap together Linux versions and not bother with support. If you are going to sell a game on a platform you need to support it on said platform.

Mind you, I'm not saying this will necessarily happen with this game.
