Quoting: KelsDestructive Creations seem to have realized that taking advantage of bigots is a good moneymaker. As with Hatred, they're perfecting the art of lightening the wallets of people who mainly buy it because they think they're upsetting someone. Pretty cynical, as marketing strategies go, but you can't deny the effectiveness.Except, unlike Hatred, this game is actually pretty fun and, IHMO, worth the money.
Find something controversial, dash off a quick game and market it to the angry folks. Add a bit of spin, in this case anti-refugee sentiment, to the marketing and watch the rubes line up to throw money at you.

That looks awesome. Hopefully the story and gameplay are as good as the visuals.

It's actually a pretty fun game. If anyone here is old enough to remember the Beach Head games, it's basically a modern version of that. You're in a motorized turret that can spin 360 degrees and you mow down enemies. Simple as. You have a machine gun and a rocket launcher and can call in infantry, air drops artillery strikes and such. There are only 3 maps, but it's a score attack type game where you play the levels again and again trying to last as long as possible and kill as many enemies as possible, all while earning persistent XP used to skill up perks. It's a simple arcade style game that's executed quite well, looks good, and runs well (at least on my machine). As for killing ISIS, I don't see how it's any different than killing Russians in Tomb Raider or Koreans in Homefront.
My biggest gripe with the game is that it only has 3 maps. If it were a $30 or even a $20 game I would complain about lack of content. At $8 it's not a generous amount of content, but I feel it's reasonable. Anyway, I'm having fun with it. It's good mindless killing fun.
Here's a short clip of me playing the game:

Great stuff. I've yet to experiment with the gyroscope myself, but I do intend to try it out. I doubt it could ever replace my wheel & pedals for racing games, but it could be nice in games where you do some driving, but it's not the singular focus of the game. And yeah, no chance are you ever going to play CS:GO well with a gamepad, any gamepad. That game absolutely requires m&kb.

Great news. I'm definitely interested in playing a game steeped in African mythology, a setting barely touched by gaming until now. I believe it's being made by an African studio, which might be a first.

Awesome. I wasn't sure if GotR would work through wine with the .bat file. That mode is so amazing, makes the game that much more insane.
