AW YISS!
I have been salivating over Sunless Sea for a while. Not only that, but Door Kickers, another game I don't already own, but do definitely want, is in the bundle too. In fact, I don't own any of the games in the bundle, which is probably a first.
Insta-buy!

In fairness, the label "turn-based strategy", while not completely inaccurate, can be a bit misleading. In my opinion, this game is a lot more akin to a puzzle game than what people traditionally consider to be tbs games.

Hitman Go is a really good mobile game. I played it on my Android phone and I loved it. I'll probably scoop up Lara Croft Go at some point too. Hitman Go is a simple, yet surprisingly tricky puzzle game. It's perfect for mobile devices too as it uses swipe controls and has short bite-sized missions perfectly suited for playing while on the throne or on a bus ride or whatever. I'm sure the controls will adapt to PC just fine. That said, it's a game I have no interest in buying or playing on my Linux desktop. First, because I already own it on my phone. Second, because I'd rather play it on my phone than my desktop.

Quoting: ArehandoroIf the Adventures of Dog Mendonca & PizzaBoy has been developed with Godot I can only say; I will give another go to learn a bit of game designing.Speaking of which, I can't wait until that game comes out. It looks like it will be a really fun point & click.

It's an interesting game, but I agree that the combat is the biggest disappointment. It just doesn't have any... for lack of a better word, weight to it. Your guns fire with the weakest pew pew pew sounds imaginable. Guns and missiles hit and you wouldn't even notice that you're hit because there's no real feedback to any of it. Some guns will push your ship back, but even that doesn't forcibly shunt your ship away, it just kind of gently pushes it away. It's just weak.
On the other hand, it looks decent enough, if unremarkable, and runs like a champ. Plus, you get to fly around and do whatever you want. It's weirdly kind of addicting.

How SteamOS could become a better console competitor

"I think this is negative for SteamOS; without exclusives there's little reason for anyone to try and use SteamOS or Linux. If they created Half life 3 and it was only available for SteamOS/Linux then you know a lot of people would install Ubuntu or SteamOS and may start to use it as their main gaming OS. If every new game comes to both systems and the exclusives are the difference between HL3, Portal 3, Team Fortress 3 on Linux and Halo Reach on Windows."
While, from a business and marketing standpoint, exclusives make sense, as a consumer, I will NEVER EVER favor exclusives. Exclusives are anti-consumer, plain and simple. No amount of sweet talk and marketing double speak will change this fact, and it is a FACT. This is not disputable. Exclusives never benefit consumers, the generally don't even benefit the developer/publisher, unless the exclusivity deal is extremely favorable, they generally only benefit the manufacturers of the platform it is exclusive to. Exclusives create rifts between the consumer base and stupid fanboy wars. They serve to divide and conquer the consumer base and turn us against each other to create a buying frenzy.
Would a major exclusive benefit SteamOS as a gaming platform. Potentially yes. Would I be in favor of such a thing. HELL NO. As much as I want Linux/SteamOS to succeed as a gaming platform, I'm not willing to give into the pure evil that is platform exclusives.

Quoting: rkfgUnfoooooortunately, Early Access starts with Windows only. Mac/Linux will be added later so don't be overexcited. Yet.So long as Linux support will be added by/before the full launch, I'll be a happy camper.
From the Store Page [External Link]:
Windows 64bit will be the only initial operating system supported, though we will be rolling out support for Mac OS, Linux and Steam OS over time.

Quoting: PeciskI've been guilty of getting impatient with Valve myself on many an occasion. I have to keep reminding myself that Valve works on Valve Time (read: at a snail's pace) but they generally reach their destination... eventually.Quoting: amonobeaxIt was tongue in-cheek joke about how complains how Vulkan is forever delayed and too late, how Steam Machine never gonna pick up and Valve has abandoned it.Quoting: PeciskSteam Machine is dead! Vulkan is dead!....errrrr......yay?What?
Very excited about PR push of Vulkan and nice and steady improvements of SteamOS/Steam Machine stack.
