Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition released for Linux & SteamOS, now downloads!

Quoting: BeamboomSo, I got to play it a bit more and I just gotta say: Finally. FINALLY a good RPG on Linux. "Good", not as in "good to be an indie" good, not "good for the budget they had" good, but just plain good.
This is the best RPG available for Linux today. There's not really any competition, even. If only the Shadowrun games were like this...

But yeah - I'm ready to vote for this years GOTY.
Mind you, I only just started the game, but I'm finding the writing to be pretty cringeworthy. I thought the writing in the Shadowrun games, at least going by the very small sample size of D: OS I've experienced so far, was several orders of magnitude better.

The combat seems fun, though.

Awesome, I've had my eye on this game ever since the Cynical Brit did a video on it many months ago. I'm a big fan of detective anything and the noir setting, so this should be right up my alley. As with any episodic game, though, I'm not touching it until all episodes are out.

Good call, I've been waiting for a deep sale on that. I might scoop it up. I have until Jan 4 to make up my mind.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell now available on SteamOS and Linux

Quoting: BeamboomIf I'm not mistaken, Gat out of Hell was originally meant to be just an expansion for SR4 but then the studio turned bankrupt and (my guess) they figured they'd fetch more money by wrapping it up as a sequel. The public excuse was, I believe, that the expansion turned out to become bigger than originally planned.

So yeah, there was a reason I never purchased this to begin with. Personally I think SR3 was the best SR of them all.

Still, I do look forward to play this on my LINUX desktop. That is cause for celebration regardless.
You got your games mixed up. SR4 was originally an expansion to SR3 but then the publisher THQ went under and when Volition got bought by Deep Silver they expanded it to a full game. If you play the Enter the Dominatrix DLC the Saints themselves talk about that. Gat out of Hell is a standalone expansion, it was always labeled as such.

Personally, SR4 is my favorite game in the series (haven't played Gat out of Hell yet), because I'm one of the people that was in favor of SR moving away from the gang warfare stuff in SR1 & 2 and going full on goofy comedy. SR3 was the transitional game where they still sort of did the gang warfare, but the game had definitely gotten more silly than the previous titles. SR4 dropped all pretense of gang warfare and just went full on ridiculous, and I was completely in favor of that. Also, Insurance Fraud has long been the best mini-game in the SR series and with super speed it's that much more hilarious.

Quoting: ChuckDaniels87Is Game of the Century Edition the same but full of DLCs?

Are any of the DLC actually worth it? Or are they all just skins and guns?
There are a couple of story DLCs, they're short, but hilarious. Enter the Dominatrix has, no hyperbole, quite possibly the greatest ending in a video game ever. I was smiling so hard the whole time that my entire face hurt.

Awesome news. Gat Out of Hell is the only Saints Row game I don't already own on Steam, well, except SR1, but that's not available on PC at all. With the holiday sale starting tomorrow, this will be a perfect time for me to pick up the final piece of the puzzle nice and cheap, as well as GRID: Autosport likely.
