Alien: Isolation Released For Linux, Prepare Your Spare Pants, Port Report, Review & Sale
27 Oct 2015 at 7:02 pm UTC

Quoting: compholioWeird, it appears to be even more expensive at the Feral store ($59.99) than the non-discounted steam price ($49.99):
There are 2 versions of the game, the base version ($49.99) and the "Collection" with all the DLCs ($59.99). Both are 50% off. Steam sells both versions, the Feral store only sells the collection, to the best of my knowledge.

Of course this game had to come out at the same time as I'm playing Fatal Frame 5 on my Wii U. :P #FirstWorldProblems

Larian Rep Responds To Criticism Over The Linux Delay Of Divinity: Original Sin
23 Oct 2015 at 9:13 pm UTC

I don't care about excuses, I don't care if they're valid, it's been a ****ing year and a half. Larian can go **** themselves. I give zero ****s about that company or anything they make ever again because I wouldn't give them another penny if someone put a gun to my head.

Valve's Steam Controller Now Has A Later Shipping Date

Quoting: pete910Bet a lot has been waiting on the XB elite review first ;)
I'm sure it's a fine controller, but who pays $150 for a gamepad? I guess some people do, since there is apparently a market for them, but yikes, I would never spend that much on a gamepad, even if I had disposable income a plenty.

I'm not about to click on a Polygon link, but I do hope this turns out to be true. Just Cause 2 was freakin' awesome and I expect 3 to be just as crazy.

Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Delayed For Linux, Again

I should be disappointed or pissed off, but I'm not because I fully expected this. I have zero faith left in Larian and I fully expect them to **** us over again come December.

Looks pretty good. Western/Supernatural X-COM sounds like something right up my alley.

Sword Coast Legends RPG Released For Linux, Some Initial Thoughts
20 Oct 2015 at 11:04 pm UTC

Quoting: Mountain ManWell, this all sounds rather disappointing. They name check Dragon Age: Origins in the advertising, so I was hoping for another in-depth sword and sorcery RPG with meaningful choices and consequences, but it seems to be a one dimensional action game. Apparently the game doesn't even support proper dialog trees.
The campaign does have branching dialogue and choices to make, though I'm not far enough in to be able to tell if the choices have meaningful consequences or if it's just window dressing ala The Walking Dead. It's the Dungeon Master tools for creating your own adventures that currently do not support branching dialogue.

Sword Coast Legends RPG Released For Linux, Some Initial Thoughts

I'm sad that Dungeon Master Mode doesn't let you do branching dialogues right now, kinda kills any desire I have to create adventures at the moment, since I don't want to create straight dungeon crawls, I want to create stories. Hopefully they add that in the future, as it's one of the most requested things on their forums. As for the campaign, I only just started, but I've had fun with it so far. It's definitely closer to NWN than Baldur's Gate.

Vendetta: Curse of Raven’s Cry Officially Announced, Big Update For Raven's Cry

I look forward to seeing this when it finally comes out. This is what they were talking about on the steam forums that was originally being called a big patch but then they said it would essentially be a separate game. I actually kinda enjoyed the bit of time I had with Raven's Cry. The game has potential and I especially liked playing a pirate who was like a real pirate (an ***hole) rather than the bogus romanticized pirates we usually get in games (rough around the edges but with a heart of gold). Of course, the game was so broken upon release that it was basically unplayable. Actually, broken isn't the right word, it was straight up unfinished.

So, yeah, hopefully this actually happens and hopefully it's a lot closer to a finished game ready for release this time.
