I Can't Escape: Darkness, A New Horror Game Coming September For Linux
28 Aug 2015 at 1:40 pm UTC

It's unfortunate that it's coming out at relatively the same time as SOMA. I can't see myself playing 2 horror games at the same time and given the choice between this and SOMA, I'll definitely be playing SOMA. Still, I may play this in the future, even if some of the foreground elements are shockingly low res.

This explains why a(nother) copy of Portal 2 just popped up in my inventory, I ordered the Steam Controller some months ago. Sweet, a freebie and another one coming my way. :D

Puzzle Platformer 'In Between' Released On Steam For Linux, Has A Demo

The gameplay definitely does look a lot like And Yet It Moves, which is cool, I really liked AYIM. I'll probably check this out when my backlog thins out (I currently have an overabundance of games to play #FirstWorldProblems).

Pretty coo, I'm definitely interested, but, as with anything early access, I'll pretend it doesn't exist until it fully releases.

Trine 3 Could See A Linux Alpha Or Beta Release In September
26 Aug 2015 at 10:42 am UTC

This not releasing day 1 for Linux may have been a blessing in disguise as I've had a chance to read reviews and watch videos and this seems like a significant step backward in terms of quality compared to the first 2 games, which were excellent. It seems the change in perspective wound up being an albatross around the game's neck.

Great to see Feral stepping up like this. Now if we could just get AMD to step up their driver game.

SOMA, The Next Horror Game From Frictional Games Should Have Day-1 Linux Support

Just a month to go until I get to play this... in 30 minute spurts... after which I turn the game off, walk away, and tell myself that it's only a game to calm myself down. At least that's how I played Amnesia: The Dark Descent. ;)

Nova Blitz Trading Card Game Might Be My New Addiction On Linux
22 Aug 2015 at 7:30 pm UTC

Interesting. I'd love to see a good TCG on Linux. I kept waiting for Infinity Wars to deliver on their Linux version that's constantly "something they plan to add in the future", but I'm skeptical that will ever happen. As with any F2P game, it will come down to how fair their microtransaction model is. If the model is fair and the game is fully playable and you won't be at a big disadvantage if you don't drop down money or foced to do insane amounts of grinding just to get a few booster packs, then I'll gladly toss them some some money, providing it;s a fun game. If the microtransaction model is aggressive then they'll never see a penny from me. Also, as with any game that's alpha/beta/early access, I won't be touching it until it fully releases.
