Screenshots remind more of Shadowgrounds than Doom actually. By the way, can people stop using the term "roguelike"; roguelite would be more appropriate.

Steam refund system is a very late implemented but welcomed consumer protection system. However having SteamOS logo, yet not delivering Linux executibles should be punished with more than refunds. A well prepared lawsuit would teach a fine lesson to dodgy publishers.

How about framerate? TotalBiscuit was unable to run it 60 FPS with 2x Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 on Windows 7.

That might sound evil but maybe you should try Windows version as well in order to check whether clunky controls and sluggish gameplay are OS specific.

Well, looks nice but it is a bit shame that they opted-in for semi-procedurally generated level design. I prefer contact level design with exploration opportunities.

Yeah, Portal is a natural candidate for VR but Valve needs to address movement issues and motion sickness problems. Motion sickness might be overcomed by increasing FOV and FPS but lacking movement is a significant problem which cannot be solved without investing tons of money.
Knowing that there are plenty of single player mods for HL series, I do not bother with HL2 sequel too much... :-) My only wishes regarding HL3 are GNU/Linux support and being able to play it without VR. I cannot care less about having VR... B-)

Quoting: HalifaxI don't know how much money HL:Ep2 made, but it probably wasn't an ongoing continuous stream of .7 billion, year after year. :-) Valve is just highly distracted from their own original franchise that got them here, by succeeding too well in other areas - not a bad thing for them though.Well, yeah I hardly think Valve is making money directly from HL2:E2, I guess I am the only fool who buys HL and and its expansions separately (purchased Valve Complete Pack afterwards though). But the episodic structure of HL2 lets people buy bundles instead of single episodes. As I recently checked Steam and Mod DB, there are dozens of HL2 mods which require HL2 to run. Of course you can make them standlone source mods by editing some config files if you are nerd enough but majority of players would prefer having the base game instead. So Valve is still making money from HL2 series.
VR Portal is definitely a game Valve is thinking about making, and probably already devoting a lot of internal development time to. The Labs, Robot Repair is basically a pretty compelling official teaser from Valve themselves it's coming.

Quoting: HalifaxAnd then Valve went back to the herculean task of shoveling mountains of money into the bank from their F2P/B2P MMOs, and forgot about a HL2:Ep2 sequel. You mean MOBAs? Well, I do not mind Valve is making money from various products; besides Half-Life series have been abandoned with Portal and L4D series long ago. I expect a new HL game when Valve considers Source 2 Engine mature enough and VR technology viable after some more L4D, TF and CS releases.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two; a great expansion from Valve, as expected. Way better than Episode One. It looks like the game uses a newer version of Source Engine comparing to base game and EP1; has some visual improvements which tanks the framerate in open areas. After this, I will dig some HL2 single player mods as I usually do with most of mod friendly games. Transmissions: Element 120 and Minerva: Metastasis are already in my list. Can someone suggest couple more fine HL2 single player mods please? Thanks.

Well, I can discuss stuff on Reddit and even retweet some random games. But I consider my Facebook wall as a personal area which should not be a some sort of volunteer ad zone. So I will pass this time; I am not into card games anyway.

After many years, I gave up on that mod and meanwhile recently I got a new PC which can run many Linux games. Now NS is avalable for Linux but servers are empty. Better than nothing I guess. :-D
They even messaged me to ask for testing; I did not see, shame...
