I read randomness. Yay, won't buy.
Randomly dying has nothing to do with skill.
It's like those overpowered random bosses that very rarely appear in tales of Maj Eyal that break the game.
Suddenly a single foe is 5 times stronger than anything encountered before and theres no way around him.
It would be nice if rogue likes would simulate through the generated run to see if it is passable at all.
Playing for hours/days and then dying to a ridiculously overpowered encounter without a chance just feels like being kicked between the legs without reason.

This would be great, as I am really not a fan of battlefield or call of duty.
AA was a great game where tactics and teamplay really made a difference back then when I played.
It is propaganda, but at the same time it is one of the best online FPS games we have.

Why do such people even release for linux?
If I support a platform, I support it.
If 5 people buy it on that platform, I must ensure that these 5 people can play.
Easy workaround: Don't support that platform.
No game is better than paying for a broken game.
Also that Rust dev needs to read a tutorial on how to be respectful on social media.
He wrote many disrespectful things that just made me close that tab.
Great negative-example, thanks :)

Desura Are In A Bit Of Trouble With Not Paying Developers

I know nobody personally, who uses Desura (though I would still consider it for distribution, if this "issue" gets resolved.)

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionI was looking at joining Desura so that I am not as reliant on Steam (don't put all your eggs in one basket). Is this a bad time to join? Should I look elsewhere?I would definitely consider GOG. The platform seems to be growing lately and I know some people who use it instead of steam.

Well, the cross-play feature is the really interesting feature.
If I can buy a game on GoG but still play it together with my steam friends, I might consider some games there if they have a better price.
But tbh, I am perfectly happy with steam as a platform at the moment.

I already have my personal "dev blacklist" after starting over 10 games that I bought.
All of them were unusable (severe crashes or ridiculous FPS). I paid and got nothing in return.
If that's what devs call "linux support" nowadays, I will gladly pass.
At least this way they don't steal my money.
Although, as a programmer, I seriously don't know what's so complicated about supporting linux.
In contrast, I find it very difficult to write platform specific code. It just feels wrong.

Just tested this game and it was totally worth it!
Reminds me of advance wars at first, but it is not a simple clone, it has its own gameplay mechanics.
It seemed very polished for a development-version,
just lacking some more convenient controls and an introduction to the mechanics (the help screen uses symbols, but some are a little complex to understand. At least for me :D)
