Maybe NWN is another game we should get a persistent world set up for Gaming On Linux users. :)

Would be cool if they could figure out how to add real time ray tracing for those that have cards that support such things.

It looks beautiful in Quake 2.

Quoting: RoundDuckManWhat about the version of id Tech 4 from the BFG version of Doom 3? That was also liberated and supports the features you mentioned about.

Quake 4 wasn't like Jedi Knight II (another Q3/id Tech3-based game that can't use ioq3 unless if OpenJK or at least OJK's unique elements was merged with it) where it had a different animation engine or anything like that. It was basically plain jane id Tech 4 with some updates, that would also be in id Tech 4 for BFG. Also, id was assisting in its development, so Raven likely had to hold to the code standards of id Software itself. That should at the very least it make it pretty easy to port the assets over to BFG-ied id Tech 4.
Isn't BFG Edition made in id Tech 5 with its megatextures and other things? Doom 3 mods don't work for BFG Edition.
Huh, I don't think so. The VR mod for Doom3 works with both editions (At least I think so). By the way, Doom3 in VR is insane.

Ha, is it bad that I didn't even know this game was out because I hadn't seen the 'out for Linux'. So here's my question... will this somehow replace Elite: Dangerous for me so I can fly in space in VR under Linux?

Valve's card game Artifact seems to be dying off and fairly quickly too

If someone made a Munchkin or INWO online game, I'd be all over that. Not going to buy some other card game just because it's Valve.

Pretty much anything that says 'card game' in a digital form, I just ignore. I think I have Slay the Spire, and I think that mentions something about cards for abilities, so I still haven't tried it.

maybe I am the odd man out, but I just don't 'get' CCG games that are digital. It's not like you can actually collect anything, it's all 1s and 0s.

Is this the one that also adds ray-tracing for nVidia's RTX cards?

Quoting: ThePierrasseIs it me or did they just fix a long-standing issue with the client window that never remained properly maximized? (at least on Unity)
The problem I usually have is that after exiting a game, the Big Picture Mode window is minimized (on Gnome-Shell). Would be nice if they fixed that.
That sounds annoying as well. I just checked and mine is still there, every time that I start up Steam the window has like the same size as if it was maximized but it is slightly off-center, which means that there is some empty space on one side (top and left) and the window gets cut off on the other (right and bottom).

I never came across your issue because I hardly ever use the Big Picture Mode, but the one I'm describing has been there for several years now and I don't understand why.
Well, could be like on Windows where it acts differently in the task bar at the bottom than any other application. Maybe it's because I left it on launch on start up, but it doesn't actually think it's a loaded application because it goes into the clock tray.

Speaking of Windows, I have to rant again that it is doing something so that it is what is in the UEFI boot up instead of Debian's Grub, pissing me off... yet when I go into the UEFI configuration, it shows Debian is the first on the boot priority, and if I just exit and save, it goes to grub...

That's something with GNOME itself, i fixed it installing this extension: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1236/noannoyance/ [External Link]
Cool, will give it a shot.

Huh, seemed to work well on my laptop, and my battery actually went from 2.5 hours to like 5.
