Payday 2 SteamOS Version Delayed Until Next Year

This was the only game holding me onto Windoze and they even said that porting would've been a no-brainer...

Maybe I should look more into doing it with wine, my first tries actually were quite promising - I just stopped as I thought it'd be out soon.

There's also a mac- and a qa-branch in steamDB

The Long Dark, A Sandbox Survival Game, Gets Closer To A Linux Release

Could be a nice alternative to Unturned but I prefer sandbox-survivals to be multiplayer. Sadly the Unturned multiplayer in public ain't so cool and Unturned hasn't really improved for some time now, imho.
This looks like an improved version of Unturned but without MP. But when it's out for Linux, I'll probably buy it :-)

Broforce Is Not Coming Out Today For Linux

wooohoo, the reply to my comment got quoted in a GoL article - fame! xD

Ugh, yeah, they really seem not to be *too* much behind doing the port. It still doubt that doing a port afterwards is making more sense as just making it portable from the beginning.
I hope it's out soon.

Quoting: GuestBetter than the empty servers in other similar quality open-source games. But Yeah, it could do with some more players to be fair. I agree with you on 'hallway' as well, that (barely a-) map gets old fast.
Ofcourse in comparison to other OSS-games it's ok or even nice - but not in comparison to what other same-quality games get. Sadly :/

What do you mean? OpenSpades is still well populated. Or do you just mean you don't play it so much anymore?

Anyway this game looks surprisingly good. I wasn't sold on the title and a screenshot, but it actually looks fun to play. (:
Right now there are ~164 people playing on all servers - ranging from czech servers to US to japan. So the real joinable amount (in terms of ping) are far less.
So you usually have to chose between 2-3 servers or even less. And then those servers are always playing the 'hallway' map (the most boring a generative imho).

The game itself is great. And the graphics look good as openspades makes use of some other cool stuff like ragdolls, DoF, Postprocessing etc.

Insurgency FPS Now Has The Linux Port On Their Official Trello Todo List

Quoting: GuestIt's basically like CS with a few splashes of realism. not Arma-level realism but enough to make it feel tense and tactical at times. Its kind of like CoD's Hardcore mode (if you ever played that?) but with a bunch of different modes, some nice weapon / equipment customization options, and coop missions (that are a lot of fun and a good way to practice before diving into the competitive modes).

Its a great game. I've been playing it since alpha, but its nice to know that I wont have to reboot in order to play it now. :p
Hm, this sounds good. CS was actually the most-realistic I ever played (never did Arma, only watched it sometimes), so this might be really interesting. CoD Hardcore I never really played (I'm one of those Casual all-time newbs :D).

Definitely will check it out as soon as it's out for Linux!
