I used Fedora extensively back in the days, and it's definitely a solid distro. Then again, I firmly believe in that it matters not a single bit what distro you are using for gaming. I can't think of any that doesn't work for the purpose. IMHO, distro choice is mostly determined by what desktop environment the distro is using by default, and if it's one you like.
2025 Steam Awards winners have been revealed

Quoting: JuliusCompared to previous awards it is interesting that there is no classic AAA title among it this year, except for maybe Silent Hill f.Not sure how surprising that even is, given that the overwhelming majority (tempted to say 'all', but I don't want to overgeneralize) of AAA titles in recent history are uninspired corporate slop, without any soul or substance. I wonder for how long the big game studios are going to sell people the same game every year before someone notices. Personally, I am not sure what makes people still buy Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, Call of Duty & Co. If they start AI-generating these games one day, nobody could tell the difference.

Firefox dev clarifies there will be an AI 'kill switch'

Quoting: CentrisToo late. Already got rid of FF.Hmm... now you made me curious what you replaced it with. The only other widespread browser engines I am aware of are made by Google and Apple. And replacing the only major free browser engine with a corporate product would be an interesting choice, wouldn't it?
Steam Replay is live and notes only 14% "of playtime spent by all Steam users" was for 2025 releases

But usually I had this handful of newly released games I played at least for a little. They seem to be far and between these days. Other than Clair Obscur, the only other recent games I can remember having played in their respective release years were Baldur's Gate 3 and Hogwarts Legacies.
Not even sure why I still have a Humble Choice subscription. :D

14% of gaming was "spent by all Steam users in new releases (games released in 2025)If not for Clair Obscur, my personal figure would be zero percent. I have almost no interest in new releases at this point. I guess since I am predominately a MMO player, that's kinda natural - these games are meant to be played for years, even decades. And yes, there hasn't been a decent new MMO on over a decade, too.

Also, maybe it's just me, but as a person used to Android smartphones and the scavenger hunts it usually takes to find settings Google doesn't want you to change, I don't find Mozilla's dark patters particularly dark. I guess everything is relative.

Quoting: emphyCan always ask the AI how to turn it off. :pQuoting: KimyrielleDid anyone read that before reaching for the pitchforks? The people who understand that mozilla likes to bury such "choices" under dark patterns and/or hard to find, undocumented, settings.
AI should always be a choiceWho cares as long as it's optional, really?

Tried to run it from Steam last night, but the client was super slow and immediately crashed when I was trying to log in a character. The pre-Reforged client ran just fine.

According to Epic CEO Tim Sweeney - game stores don't need an AI label as it will be everywhere

@Ehvis, the point being made by Sweeney (which I have to agree with him on, even when it pains me to have to take his side) is that it's utterly pointless to require labeling, if close to 100% of all games are using the tech anyway. That's like requiring a "contains nuts" label on a pack of peanuts. Sure, you can do that. It just doesn't make any sense.
