I love the game and play it all the time - 582 hours so far. On my rig, performance is fine until later-game when it all comes crashing to a 10 FPS disaster. But the journey there is fun enough and the Steam Workshop is VERY active, all which makes it worthwhile to me.

Great game that's an absolute blast to play with the benefit of playing for 15 mins to take a quick break or go as deep as you wanna go. The procedurally-generated tracks are a real plus for the game as there's no memorization necessary - only carnage. Other's, yours, the environment, and the carnage likely and unintentionally leveled at your controller :woot:

Quoting: melkemindThere are plenty of good features from Madden they could imitate. The annual release of a full-priced game is not one of them.Is $19.99 US considered "full price"? How could it be when AAA sports titles are all $69.99? Far less than half-price seems like a lot less than full-price to me.

Like the commenter above, I bought the game to play occasionally (when a full NFL player / uniform mod comes out), but mostly to support the developers. And it's not just Linux players doing so. A read of the discussions on Steam note that many players are doing the same on Win as well.
It's already a decent game for the price, and considering Madden costs $69.95US on any supported platform currently, I look at the purchase as a way to get a great American football game on Linux in the long run. Also, on the official website forums there is already a full NCAA college mod that nearly has every NCAA team included, for free! So in a way, it's like getting NCAA football on console, as well as Madden. For $20. Quite a deal IMHO. Also, mods are encouraged and I'd suspect many many more throughout the year, including real-world roster updates.
As for the author's comments about being early access as opposed to an annual purchase, I do not agree here. So many things change season to season in football that an annual 'release' seems to me more appropriate. Just my 2-cents.

Quoting: liamdaweIsn't China a huge market for Linux as well though? IIRC they had their own distro that's pretty popular in that country.Quoting: qptain NemoBah! Removed that line, but yeah that's not very convenient I completely overlooked that, as I was on the "store" styled page for it. Quite a nuisance.I hope they finally add the ability for a curator to edit the blurb of their recommendation, stupid to not have an edit function. You can. You have to go to your group, the curator tab, then click on the recommendation there and then you'll have an option to edit it. And yeah, it's not the simplest most obvious way.
