Alienware do a pretty nice job of advertising their Steam Machine & SteamOS in this new video

Throw a 1060 in and I might bite for $750. I built all five of my current steam machines, but I'll probably buy a premade soon to keep my daughters busy for a couple of hours each day after school in my office.

Quoting: liamdaweThis makes me even more concerned, the actual quote is:
It's something we're exploring, but the main problem is that none of our team members run Linux
Someone better get Linux bloody set-up if they hit that goal.
But linux licenses are too expensive. They have finite resources!

Mighty No. 9 delayed for Linux

Quoting: EhvisI wonder. Would this be a decent game if you've never played Megaman and weren't a part of the Kickstarter drama?
I haven't played MM since number 3 or maybe 4 on the NES. I wasn't part of the KS drama. I'll be giving it a go once released. I'm a little confused by the reviews. Some are saying its too easy, Jim Sterling said its frustratingly hard.

Quoting: Mountain Man(Pro tip: Never let your significant other see the "hours played" in your Steam library!).
Honestly I don't think it matters. I have almost no time for games, I maybe average an hour a week (and that's mostly because of the one or two weekends a year I can binge play). My wife still bitches at me about my steam library.

Quoting: ShmerlI suppose it's the reason why GOG rejected Metro games. Companies which don't fix their bugs are jerks.
What bugs were in the Metro Redux ports? The only problem I had was it didn't like my custom alsa setup. I played through both games and was happy with the performance and stability.
The lack of Vsync, the lack of manual resolution configuration and the gray dots...
Indeed, the linux version of both Redux were abandoned...
The linux version of the original MetroLL works better then the Redux version (at least for me)

About this, it seems there is a failure in the communications between Deepsilver's people.
Aha, I had forgotten most of those issues. Vsync actually worked but the flag was reversed (for me anyway on nvidia). If you had it checked vsync was off, unchecked turned it on.

The gray dots would disappear if you turned off one of the graphical options (tesselation?). I guess an option for manual configuration never bothered me.

Oh yeah wow. Just realised I have the same (running it on pause for trading card drops). Nice...
Yea it amazes me that nobody tests stuff. This is the state of crappy reviews on Linux it's why im starting my own site :D
Why not just contribute to this one?

We are now importing sales from Steam to our Sales Page

Awesome. FYI it's only working for EUR prices currently. I'm pretty sure the sale % will be consistent across regions though.

Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition now officially support Linux & SteamOS

Quoting: Guestthey probably didn't want anyone knowing it was coming over to linux and put it as a suprise, welll suprise!!! lol
Nah just a lot of confusion. About a month ago they did announce that linux would be supported when the DE's launched. It was around release day when people were getting told there wouldn't be a linux version, even though it was available to download and play immediately.
