Looks like 2D adventure game 'Owlboy' will come to Linux using FNA

This game looks great! Can't wait to try it out once it hits Linux!
I wonder if this was made using the same program as Frogatto... it looks really similar to me, and I know Frogatto was originally meant to be a template for people to make new games.

Some thoughts on 'Selma and the Wisp', a platformer where you don't control your movement directly

Now if only Microsoft Studios would bring Ori & the Blind Forest to Linux, we'd have a terrific atmospheric platformer! They brought Dust to Linux, and everyone I know LOVES that game. Wonder why Ori hasn't been ported yet...

Windscape, a first-person exploration adventure where you play as a young girl will come to Linux

This reminds me of Wind Waker on the Gamecube. I love the visuals! (Not every game needs to be hyper-realistic!) Gotta say, from the overall look of the gameplay, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this game.

Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

I'm concerned by the lack of movement with Steam on Linux. Steam machines are failing, and now articles like this... I really don't want to see Steam fail to do well on Linux, but it really does seem as though the platform is losing its momentum. Perhaps it's an alarmist way to look at it, but even Aspyr and Feral seem to be toning things down. I'm hoping this is a lull before the storm of games we'll see during the holiday season.
I suppose the question 'what needs to happen for Linux to be a viable gaming platform?' is what I come back to. For better or worse, Steam is at the center of it all. Perhaps GOG will surpass Steam someday, but no time soon. Any ideas?

Has anything happened with this? Haven't seen anything new, so I was wondering about it.

What have you been playing recently and how is it?

I've been playing the Metroid II remake mostly.
Also play Awesomenauts, Speedrunners, and Battleblock Theater with my daughter.

Planning to get my hands on Tabletop Simulator and some of the DLC. Looks like a good time!

System Shock remake heads to Kickstarter, Linux is the first stretch-goal

I pretty much only buy/fund games that have a Linux version already running. (It's why I haven't bought Stardew Valley yet.) Wasn't always that way, but then there were devs that didn't follow through on their promised Linux support (the latest Gauntlet comes to mind), and that really has ruined it for everyone else.

It's crazy how much this looks like Starbound. Like someone took Starbound and added the dino-riding from Ark (and also what looks like morphing and pokeballs lol).
