If we forget about the VRAM issue, it's a beautifuly made Linux hardware and I'll consider buying it, even if I don't need it (and if I can pay for it), just to support the cause.

Like pretty much everyone here, the new Steam Controller is a day-one buy for me. But honestly, I'm a bit worried about that 8 GB of VRAM. I’ve got an ONEXGPU with 8 GB too, and while it runs most games fine at 1080p (and even 1440p with some upscaling), it already starts to struggle a bit in stuff like Doom TDA at 1080p medium.

I really loved Doom TDA and had an awesome time playing it, but honestly, it doesn’t look that amazing for how much VRAM it eats up. When you think about what devs could pull off with 256 MB fifteen years ago, it’s kind of crazy. Still, that’s just where we are now: 8 GB is gonna feel tight, especially once Unreal Engine 5 becomes the norm.

And that my friends is why I'm still supporting Steam... I was always very skeptical about this "humble-charity" background... In the end they just want the maximum amount of money they can grab and that's about it! So when they were small, they were pro indie / Linux games, pay what you want crap and so on, now the bundles are just another way to present sales...

The developer of EVERSPACE makes it clear it's not just NVIDIA problems holding the port up, making progress

I'm very anxious to play this game too, but I don't believe No Man's Sky ever wanted to be like this one... NMS is about open world exploration, this game is more like a "Space" crawler with some exploration elements... By the way, NMS is still beeing developed and it is becoming a great game, but it's not for everyone. It's like X Rebirth: after a catastrophic debut, the devs shipped some free patches and DLCs to fix the mess. I'm playing NMS now (on Linux by the way) and I'm really loving it.

Watched a gameplay yesterday... seems really nice! When it'll be working on Linux it's an instant buy!

Mad Max is currently 50% off on the Feral Store

And what about performance ? The game looks very GPU and CPU demanding, do you guys think a GTX750ti + a quad xeon CPU at 3.0ghz and 16gb ram could handle it?

Into The Breach, the new strategy game from the makers of FTL will be on Linux

I was hoping for a FTL 2 with something like an open Universe. I've dreamed about an Elite-like FTL... By the way, do you guys know if Star Citizen will come to linux?

The Humble Store is having a huge birthday sale, tons of stuff for insanely cheap

I've tried almost everything on Chakra (Arch fork) and it didn't work. Two years ago I managed to get it to work providing all the missing libs, but sound didn't work. Wine version works fine, but there is some random crash. I believe Shadowground and Survivor can't be qualified as Linux games ; there is an old crappy port that takes ages and a lot of personal effort to make it run, that's not enough for a comercial product. I can expect this kind of work from an open source project or a mod/fork (Diaspora - Freespeace 2 for example), but not from a product I've paid for. Experiences like that turns people against gaming on linux, we need to erase the linux badge from this kind of games. Just saying...

Shadowground and Shadowground Survivor does not work on Arch / Chakra. I do not remember why, but I tried to make it work three or four months agi without success.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is officially coming to SteamOS & Linux, port by Feral Interactive

Still, the game already needs some tough specs on Windows, we'll probably need an even better PC to run it well on Linux. Feral ports are good, but I had some serious slowdowns on Tomb Raider so for now I'm affraid for performance.
