Doesn't seem like a "buy at full price" kind of title but I'll definitely be picking this up. Love horror games.

Celestian Tales: Old North A Beautiful Looking JRPG Styled Game Comes To Linux Next Month

The only thing bad about this is that it comes out right before I go back to college for the semester. I either won't have much time to study or won't have much time to play it.

It really is too bad that Voxelnaut's Kickstarter didn't work out, though. I think it had bad luck on its timing so close to the Steam summer sale. When I saw the article here on GOL about it I had already spent way too much money on the sale to help out.

I've backed some Linux games on Kickstarter recently that I'm really excited about.

One's Cross Reverie: The Trial of Nightmare [External Link], an indie jrpg by another Canadian indie dev Sinxsoft. Looks legit cool. We definitely don't have enough decent jrpgs on Linux (if any?) and maybe games like this succeeding will start to convince Japanese devs over time that we exist. (A man can dream.)

An Awesome Developer Response To A Comment On The Linux Version Being A Waste Of Time

It's too bad the game itself has such poor reviews and doesn't look like my thing, since I too kind of like what this guy has to say.

It worked for me! Was really pleasantly surprised by this news. I had never gotten the chance to play the game at all.

I was having lots of freezing issues even with those taskset workarounds. Hopefully this will make the experience better.

Brushfire Games On Their Linux Sales For Shipwreck & Their Thoughts On Linux

Heck for $3 this game was an instabuy for me after seeing this article! :) This is why I love GOL; I would have never known this game or its cool dev existed without this article. I appreciate his empathy with Linux gamers, and I think that when it comes to games we're frequently in the same boat as Mac users in terms of getting people to make games for our preferred platforms.

I've actually never sat down and played a point-and-click adventure game all the way through before, but this looks really interesting. I think I'll check it out.
