Thank you for the review, flesk! I'm looking forward to finishing up the second OotT game, too! Fortress of Fire should come out later this year. Again, thanks for playing and for writing about our game. It's a labour of love, for sure.

What Have You Been Playing Recently, And What Do You Think About It?

Quoting: GuestQuest for Infamy.
- Good: Hilarious game. Characters with personality. Logical and mostly non-linear puzzles in a huge map. The classes offer replayability.
- Not so good: The RPG mechanics are repetitive. Some bugs, but the developer support is top-notch.
Hey Robert! Thank you so much, and for having Prospero as your avatar. Glad you liked our game.

Desura Are In A Bit Of Trouble With Not Paying Developers

Quoting: InsperatusQuoted text isn't working for me for some reason but I just wanted to shout a big THANK YOU to the dev of Quest for Infamy and to the creators of this site! I loved playing King's Quest and Quest for Glory games as a kid and I'm psyched to play your game! Thank you for taking the time to fix this user's problem!
Absolutely my pleasure. I'm also glad that we can provide an experience for gaming on linux; we're very lucky to have several members who work hard to bring our games to linux, and I always like how amazing and enthused linux users are.

We have three upcoming games this year, and all will be available on linux.

Also, I have been beta-ing GoG galaxy, and if you're a non-Steam user, I think you may really like it. I'm excited to develop for it, and use features like achievements on it.

Desura Are In A Bit Of Trouble With Not Paying Developers

I was alerted to this thread by a friend of mine, who's also a voracious Linux user - I try my best to be out there for the people who buy our game, and I'm generally available via email and twitter easily! Being a dev is an honor, so I try my best for people.

Desura Are In A Bit Of Trouble With Not Paying Developers

Quoting: InsperatusI recently bought Quest for Infamy on Desura because they advertised a Steam key and I've been wanting to add the game to my collection (and play it! :P)

Upon purchase, no key was available. I contacted Desura and received a reply two days later: "The developer has not yet made any steam keys available, but I will touch bases with them to see if any are ready."

That was four days ago and I haven't heard anything since. I'm not exactly going to be rushing to buy from Desura at this point and after reading your article I wonder if I'll ever get a key.
I'm the dev of Quest For Infamy! First off, I want to say thank you for purchasing our game and supporting us! Yay!! Secondly, shoot me an email - info at infamous-quests.com and I'll get you your Steam Key ASAP.

Fun fact - we haven't gotten a payment from Desura for QFI yet at all, and it went on sale there July 11, 2014. Says we haven't sold $500 worth of games there yet. Which may or may not be true, I've heard from other devs that the sales stats tracking we see isn't accurate. Or otherwise we just haven't made crap from the game yet. (The second IS entirely possible, classic/retro point and click role playing adventures are PREEEETY niche, I'd say.)

Anyway, contact me, and I'll help you with anything you need.
