Looks like a lot of fun. I may not buy it right away. If there are rough edges, it has become my custom to watch and see how the dev deals with the first-week issues...

I have a lot of hope, since I love metroidvania games and the art style is great.

HyperRogue, the unique roguelike with a non-Euclidean world has been updated

This is a remarkable game from a mathematical view. I don't generally play rogue-likes, but my love of hyperbolic geometry was strong enough that I bought this a while ago. It is worth the money just for the introduction sequence showing all the different hyperbolic projections. The game is pretty weird and fun, too.

It is cool that they are still adding to it. I need to go back and take another look.

I can't tell what the game actually is, but it does look absurdly cute.

Smith and Winston, the beautiful voxel-based twin stick shooter with a focus on exploration is now on Steam

Quoting: metaldazzaYou're correct, 3 lives and you start again is harsh. So in the final game there will be a mode called "Story Mode" where when you lose your last life you restart at the beginning of the level you died on with 3 new lives but your score is reset to zero.
Thanks for the clarification. I hope the rest of the game dev process goes smooth for you!

some are tired of "voxel" stuff
I don't understand this. I don't care how the game is made, I care if it is fun. There are great games that are pixel, voxel, 2D, 3D, low-poly, HD, etc, etc. They can all be great if they are artistically done and the game is fun to play.

Quoting: TcheyYou have 3 lives, you die, you start from scratch.
Ah. This may not be for me, then. That severely limits exploration of a game world, which is high on my list for any game.

Looks like it could be fun when they build more content. It reminds me of Mushroom 11.

Ooh. That looks like a lot of fun. I almost get a light-hearted salt & sanctuary vibe from it. I look forward to the reviews.

Looks promising. It is great seeing legends from other cultures getting more attention!
