This move may either be really smart or really stupid. There are probably groups of people who will tell all their friends to mass report people periodically, but they also play the game enough to not be seen as report-griefers. How do you account for that?
This sounds like two wolves and a lamb voting on who's offensive. Democracy is a great idea in most cases, but not here.

It isn't that simple. It takes time for trust to be built up all over again, if it's not been irreparably damaged.

Quoting: einherjarIf they do something bad -> They get hatedIf a close friend or partner betrayed your trust, is it wise to trust them again because they did something good after doing something really bad?
If they do something god -> They get hated
Why should they do nice things then?

If this grant is an "apology" from Epic for Rocket League, it takes more than throwing money around to fix that oil fire.
I don't trust Epic, I wouldn't even consider forgiving them until they've got some Valve-level standards of Linux support... for years.
How many years? I dunno... ;)

Sorry for the double post, but here's some good news update for a change. My partner did get Rocket League refunded on Steam his SECOND try.
1. He selected the option: "My reason is not listed" for the reason for the refund request.
2. He posted a link to this GoL article, but now that Psyonix has posted their update regarding refunds, it may be a better idea to link to that instead.
3. He acknowledged he was over the typical limit of play time for a refund.
4. He asked for a "special exception", considering the situation of Linux support being unexpectedly dropped.
Keep trying, it may just be the wording or reasoning that matters. (And he was very Canadian-ly polite to Valve staffers too, which didn't hurt...)

Still hate that decision, but at least the bad reviews/scores aren't "disappeared" by default when "abnormal activity" is detected. The developers/publishers have been given more ability to delete reviews (in the case of off-topic abusive remarks in the review, apparently), but it can also be abused to make the game look better.
At least most of the time, there isn't any major abuse apparent on most store pages (there are still scathingly bad reviews mixed in with gleefully worshipful reviews, and also "meh" reviews too), even if they could remove reviews that make the game/developers/publishers look bad.
EDIT: forgot the subject in a sentence, derp

Quoting: ShmerlIf that prevents you from writing negative review due to dropped Linux support, that amounts to censorship. It's a placating move done by Valve to prevent review bombs from completely ruining game scores, at least on the surface. It's a user-based profile option (opt-in) to change it back to how it was. It sort of nerfed review bombs, which is partly good and partly bad, depending on whether you think the review bombers have a point or not.

My partner did not get a refund through Steam (definitely too many hours). Not sure if he should even try through Psyonix at all at this rate.
Basically, a false wall of "tech support" disguised as doing nothing is just about as good as stonewalling displeased customers with zero support at all: just set up a few email addresses and automatically send incoming mail to /dev/null. (Yes, that's unfair and hopefully unlikely, but I want some time to be unreasonably pissed at Psyonix for now.)

Um... was around 140+ last I looked... and I only got it in December. ^.^;;;
This game is ruining my life and I should feel more ashamed about it. ... And stop being tempted to look up mechanics guides. (mrph... how does the fortune telling work... is it a base luck indicator or a bonus/malus on your basic hidden luck stat...?)
Okay, who's got the best spouse and why? I can't talk because I chose Harvey. Nerdy, geeky, neurotic guys are a thing for me, but kind of hard to say he's "best guy" when there's loads of more (apparently) mentally adjusted people to pick from. :P

The developers knew they were tempting fate with the "GamerGate" achievement in this update. "Please don't review bomb us." is the achievement blurb.

Haven't tested Retroarch on my 3B+ yet, but it may be worth trying if the builds will be more optimized for armhf-based Raspbian.
