The delightfully evil Dungeons 3 is to get three DLC, the first 'Once Upon a Time' has been revealed

Liam, honestly, that's no good explanation in this case: They even made jokes within Dungeons II about Free2Play and mass DLCs and do the same thing now within this series. That's unfortunate.

Iron Harvest, an RTS set in the alternate reality of 1920+ should hopefully see Linux support

The game looks like they got inspired by the board game Scythe! [0] I really do love the setting of Scythe, allthough I'm not sure what they did make out of it. In the board game you can't easyly win just be fightin, you have to take care of your reputation, which I like! Here it seems to be diffeerent. If it will be a good game and on Linux, I'll buy it!

Funny, the artworks look like they got inspired by the Board Game Scythe [External Link]!

If they promise a Linux port and that sounds convincing, I'll most likely beg them!

PS: The board game is complex, but amazing! You CAN NOT only win by fighting usaully.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem (previously Umbra) will not have a Linux version during alpha or beta

Did they ever say there'll be an alpha or beta? I'm pretty sure they mentioned in the past already that there'll only be a Linux version AFTER release. I do find it a bit unfortunate there's no cross-platform development. This will make the game just another port in the end.

Unfortunately I did beg the game... if they deliver in the end, I'm totally finde if this is in an appropriate time frame.

EDIT: It looks amazing! Hopefully it will be fun to play and released on Linux!

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III - cross-platform Multiplayer with Windows, since a multiplayer game without players is a dead game!

Warcraft III - Since it's a nice classic game and NO moving target -> easy to port since it has an OGL renderer.
Starcraft II - The most amazing RTS ever made!
The Witcher III - Since it's the mos amazing modern RPG ever made!
Age of Empires II HD - Since it's THE classic RTS game.

@1050ti users: If you would have claimed nVidia GPUs and drivers are more competetive like 2 years ago, I'd totally agree.

Nowadays you'll have the Raven Ridge desktop APU right around the corner which should match the TDP of an 1050ti and CPU while still having enough performance. Also, 7 mm will be a thing soon and this time I expect AMD to be quicker than nVidia.

In combination with the fact that AMDs drivers are much better integrated in the Linux world I'd definitely stick with AMD and would go for AMD if I'd be owning an nVidia GPU.

As you can see in Phoronix benchmarks, the AMD driver's performance is now competitive to nVidia and also more and more devs actively support AMD Mesa drivers. As well as Valve does.

About this trove-thing: Is it possible to Download those games and use them after canceling the subscription?

Feral has patched Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III for Linux to fix Vulkan on NVIDIA 384

Quoting: liamdawe
Quoting: VurdaanMatchmaking is broken on this game, we can't play versus windows players....
It's not broken, that's just how it is. A few ports from Feral (and other developers) have per-platform online play. Sometimes Mac and Linux can play together, but not with Windows.
So yes, it is brocken! Missing feature. A bug.

I used to remind Feral and the community in every single article about this fact in the past. They're not willing to fix that and claim they can't. Getting in touch with the original developer to find a solution seems not in their range of possibilities. I was texting them and Relic as well but nothing happened. They seem not to be interested in more sales and money for everyone. Apart from Single Player, this game is dead under Linux unfortunately. :'/

The MMO 'Project: Gorgon' has an experimental Linux version, it's not bad at all & free for now

Just from the way it looks, it may be a 15 years old game. Note sure why you would allow to access an alpha like this. I'd call it a pre-alpha instead and let it closed until it feels like a real game at least.

Intel launches their new CPUs with Radeon RX Vega M Graphics along with two new 'NUC' mini-pc models

To me, after I first hyped this package a lot, I'm not that impressed anymore. At first I thought it's gonna be a next-gen APU - finally it's just a GPU and CPU soldered on one chip - connected with PCIE. This means: If you got a notebook, there's almost no difference to dedicaded GPU options.

For mITX computers it's indeed different: There's no "dedicaded option" that's soldered on the Mainboard - a dedicaded GPU will always take space and create a lot of extra heat. In this specific use case it can make sense. The only downside: It will be hard / impossible to upgrade this combo as far as next-gen "APUs" won't fit most likely.
