Well, I totally loved Dungeons 2 and I do love Dungeons 3, even though I did not manage to finish it by now. I'll get the full priced DLC anyway to support the developers and I'll play it after I finished the base game. Generally I'm really no fan of DLCs at all - but the good old addons seem to be gone for good when broadband made it's way, and DLCs became a viable business model. :'/
@x_wing I'm sure they're better ways to make some love! :P
Edit:
For the same reason: Which is the language they made voice acting for? Is it a good translation?

Quoting: x_winglibrary sharing is not so cool when you get to know the limitations. Our of curiosity: What are the limitations you mean? If she or you play offline it should be okay. Except for statistics not being bumped and online games.

I paid the full price as well since the game looked awesome. I shouldn't have done this since I've known in advance there's a dead multiplayer and a average single player at best.
Why didn't they step up their game and made a nice looking and fun to play DOW III? But it's not only them, it's also Feral who didn't manage to work together with relic to get Multiplayer working. They might have this mentioned troubles because of the static game engine, but anyways, people could talk and there're possibilities like Github so they could collaborate and Feral could have sent in commits and so on.... Many possibilities, they took none and surrendered. It's a shame.

Wait, this time its a native game (is it?) by a publisher who has full control over it's code base but still doesn't manage cross OS multiplayer?

Do the boxed versions have Linux included?
Edit: The top of the box on Amazon states DVD-ROM / Linux. Since I really appreciate boxed games and I'm unhappy about the mass affordable games at sales nowadays I'll go for it even though I'm not sure if it could be counted as a Linux game like that. Nowadays a boxed version has a value by itself just by being boxed.
The industry should really step up their game to make sure boxed copies are always sold with Linux and counted as well.

In the meantime I did some research and also found out it's the same alternative world by the same artist.
Still it seems the gameplay will be completely different.

Actually that's true, it may be an explanation, but not an excuse. Yes, devs may fix bugs and to still earn money they might program DLCs as well.
The thing I don't like about those is the following: Back in the days, when a game was relessed and one or two Addons followed, it was basically like a new game. Just think about "Diablo II" where "Lord of Destruction" followed. Or "Warcraft 3 RoC" where "The Frozen Throne" followed - and much more! I've been waiting so impatiently for the Addons to arrive. I loved them and I loved the games. Nowadays you basically get a minor or medium-minor new feature/assets to the game. That's it! It's nice to have, but usually you won't hype it.
Make a full price 40 € game and release two addons for 25 € each which really add new contents, campaigns, units & assets to the game and I'll get it if I liked the original game.
With DLCs? I just wait for a "Definitive Edition", GOTY Edition etc. and buy the whole thing. That sucks.
