Tomorrow is your chance to help me defeat Feral in Dawn of War II

Quoting: MikeI am very tempted to try this game, but the lack of cross-platform multiplayer is kind of annoying. This is why I can't play Company of Heroes 2 with my friends that don't want to get Linux and basically can't play as there is hardly anyone online... and will be the same with this one. How is the multi doing? Is it actually possible to play without waiting half an hour to get a game?
+ 1! That's exactly the case. So far I just heard excuses from feral. I do love that company but I won't buy any non-crossplatform-multiplayer games from them - sorry, but no. Most of my friends do use windows. What's the point on buying linux-mac multiplayer games then?

You might want to avoid the Nvidia 375.20 driver, Nvidia recommend downgrading

It's better to upgrade in 2017 though just because you could go straight to Zen. If Zen couldn't fulfill it's expectations you might want to choose the next gen Intel CPU instead.

As well as John von Neumann, Konrad Zuse and many more. (;

I'd stick to the tux. Might be a bit childish on the one hand, but games are originally meant for kids. So what's the point?! On the other hand it's nice to keep a few things that are not to serious and polished up from your childhood.

Earth Liberation, a surprisingly good looking traditional RTS should come to Linux

I do love the look of the units. Finally I can't say anything about the gameplay since I did not play it. From the visual point of view the maps don't look to impressive but the units do. Mhhh...

Quoting: adamhmBest to wait for confirmation that the Linux version will be coming to GOG - it would suck to buy it and then find out that the Linux version will remain Steam exclusive. This has been the case with a lot of other games released on GOG & it's something that they really need to work on IMO :/
What's the next thing you do ask for? Linux is not enough, it has to be DRM free on Linux? So the next level are native BSD Games?
It's not unreasonable for Linux gamers to want a Linux version of a game on GOG, if the game supports Linux.

I have asked my contact at GSC Game World to confirm if the Linux version will come to GOG. I will post a new article with their answer as this article will likely be buried by other news by the time I get an answer.
Quoting: archmage24601Does anyone know if it will have cross platform multiplayer with windows?
They claim it will.
Thanks! Good to know that!

You say that as if it's somehow unreasonable to expect fair treatment of all customers. Anyway I've always been ardently opposed to DRM, since long before I even considered using Linux; as far as I'm concerned DRM reduces the value of any software to near worthless (and Steam is the only DRM I will tolerate at all. Any other DRM = it doesn't exist to me and I won't accept it even if it's free).
Sorry, I didn't want to sound to harsh: If I got the choice I'd prefer FOSS drivers, FOSS firmware, DRM free Games etc. - still you can not expect every Game to be DRM free. Of course you can expect it, but it just won't happen. Openness is something the whole game branch lacks of.

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters announced for release on November 29th, new video

Quoting: KimyrielleI played city builders since the days of the original SimCity, but I always play with disasters disabled. It's no fun building a great town just to have it partially destroyed every other hour. It feels like the little brother storming into your room and accidentally trashing your Lego castle. Yeah, it's realistic. But fun it is not.

But I suppose this was the last feature that EA pile of garbage still had going for it over Cities Skylines, so I can understand why they added it.

I'd rather get a proper dynamic seasons model down the road. :D

That all being said, I will buy the DLC anyway, just to support this great game.
You do repeat yourself frequently! :'P
