Stellar native Linux support at that!

I don't have the game but controller uses like this are often solved by gamescope (which is used by default on the Deck). Install it and add it to the games launch options and controllers magically work as intended.

Quoting: jarl.arntzenWhy not just call it "Couch OS".
Much more fun name which is actually perfectly related with the use case :D
That sounds like the OS is running on your couch. Smart couches anyone?
Wait until you hear about CoochOS.

Quoting: ZeroedoutWill we be getting a Linux port report for this game? I'm considering buying it but not if Unity isn't optimized well enough.
Well I'm only one dude, but on open source AMD drivers on my 380X, 16GB RAM and a stock Kaby Lake G4560 Dual Core (4 cores HyperThreading) the game runs fine on max details @ 1080p. I was expecting to have performance issues due to what some people have said even on the console version, but I was pleasantly surprised. If Liam doesn't mind me sharing a link to my own site, I touched on it in my review of the game: http://www.thelinuxrain.com/articles/yooka-laylee-review [External Link]

No benchmarks, but when I call a game smooth, it's not usually chugging in 20-30 FPS or anything.
Thanks but I already bought and beat it. Interestingly and annoyingly the graphics would go to <20 fps after looking at certain things on max details. Like it runs fine until looking at the snow outer area of world 2, then everything slows down to 20 fps.

Simply changing the graphics to minimum and back would often fix the issue.

This is with a GTX 760 and amd-fx6350.

Very fun game though.

Rust has now sold over 30 thousand copies on Linux

I was super tempted during the last sale, but Unity + hostile dev, I didn't see any hope for improvements (and thought they would drop development after a while). Maybe I was wrong... I just wish they would be more public with a commitment to support.

Stainless Games announce another Carmageddon game, Linux & Mac gamers not happy

https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/carmageddon-reincarnations-jason-garber-answers-our-questions-on-their-linux-support.3380 is the 2014 interview referenced in the article. My favorite answer:

It's quite possible we would approach it in that way. But we’d hope that Linux, as a port rather than a process of full game development, would be a more linear and (dare I say it) straightforward process that won’t involve the level of player testing that is useful to us while we still develop the full game.
