8 years after I initially purchased it, I'm still playing the hell out of Mount and Blade: Warband. :) I finally hit the 1,000 hour mark last week as well, and that's not even counting the 200 or so hours I played before I got it on Steam. lol.

Quoting: stretch611I think you're missing my point... But whatever. :)Quoting: ElvanexThose two games may be older, but Dwarf Fortress [External Link] is still being developed today. Not sure about Rogue, but NetHack [External Link] (a successor) and Brogue [External Link] (another successor) are still under development.Quoting: stretch611lol, you do realize you are trying to compare 2 much older games to one that is coming out this year, right? :P Also, I have tried to play Dwarf Fortress, but it's UI is waaay too cumbersome. Which is a shame, because it's an amazing game. :)Quoting: ElvanexThe concept sounds interesting, but tbh, the visuals look like it's in very early alpha stages, so hopefully that's part of what was meant by polishing it up. Always great to see developers openly using Linux though. :)Crude visuals...
You obviously never played Dwarf Fortress or the original Rogue.
They are all quite popular and that proves that many people actually care more about gameplay than a glossy finish. Not to mention all the games claiming to be "rogue like" or those similar to Dwarf Fortress.

Wow. lol. Am I the only one who thinks these devs are too good to be true? :) I mean, IceTorch has been giving near perfect responses to every question so far. It's almost as if he's actually been paying attention to what we as Linux gamers want/need, and made it his mission to provide it. :) I was already interested before, but now I'm going to make this an instant buy.
@IceTorch, Thanks so much to you and your team. :)
