After a disappointing time with The Witcher 3, I got completely sucked into Two Worlds. There's a beta branch available for the Linux WINE-wrapped release and it works great. The game itself though is broken by design on almost every level, yet the most fun I've had in months.

Are they pushing all the channels on that boom box's equalizer all the way up (0:21)? Weird what kids like these days.

First-person adventure game 'The Norwood Suite' should get a Linux build on Steam in future

That's great news, it's one of the few Windows-only Humble Monthly keys I didn't give away. Well, at the time I had no idea a port was planned. Gonna wait until the native version drops before activating the key, just in case.

Knights of Light, a historical action RPG set in the Middle East will support Linux, currently on Kickstarter

Hm. Would be nice to support an Egyptian studio as there aren't many of those. I know one other, IDM Soft, who hasn't released a game yet. But that screen shake really turns me off, and what little combat there is seems quite meh.

I'd rather wait until the reviews come in :(

Samurai Riot is an easy to get into beat 'em up with Linux support

The screen shake seems excessive. I hope they have an option to disable it.

Quoting: GuestI’m listening to the music of Utopia by Barry Leitch (or remixes of it) almost every day.

He also released the Horizon Chase soundtrack, maybe useful for those who don't feel sure about the game but dig the music:

Now also combined with Top Gear:

@tuubi I guess the point of these games is to find the right amount of breaking and turning to sneak into the gaps between opponents, not so much actually doing any driving.

@Geppeto35: There's no gangster chasing in it (at least there wasn't in the Android version). Were you thinking along the lines of something like Chase H.Q.? :)

Humble Indie Bundle 19 adds in Action Henk and JYDGE if you pay more than the average

JYDGE is worth that price on its own IMO. I do like that kind of shooter in general, but this is the first time I went back to do all the levels on all difficulties.

If you know Neon Chrome, it's similar in movement and shooting mechanics but a totally different beast in level design. The levels play almost like puzzles where you have to figure out the best loadout for the job and then go berserk, smart, stealthy or a mix of them all.

Unreal Tournament on Linux, checking up on the progress by Epic Games and how to get it running on Linux

Quoting: Guestit is open source but they just have some extra terms.
Unless it is under a license approved by the FSF it's not open source. Or so people say.
It is open source. It's not free in terms of freedom. That's the difference ;-).
It's neither free software [External Link] nor open source [External Link]. It's freeware with very specific license terms and requiring two agreements by the player at the moment. The system is so restrictive that they don't even let you read the EULA without having an Epic account and agreeing to the Epic account terms.

Under the UE4 license terms, you are not allowed to even share your own source code that's using UE4, unless all recipients of your source code have also agreed to the license terms of the UE4 engine. Source: Epic Games [External Link].

The UE4 engine is a weird blob of "free to use, sort of, but not really usable in FOSS projects, certainly incompatible with any and all FOSS licenses, oh, and do make sure you don't share any of the 'free' assets that are included with it, OK? If do, the punishable party is you, just so you know."

Dumping some source code on the world != open source.

Edit: Heh, just to make you laugh, here's a good section of the UE4 license:

Non-Compatible Licenses

You may not combine, Distribute, or otherwise use the Licensed Technology with any code or other content which is covered by a license that would directly or indirectly require that all or part of the Licensed Technology be governed under any terms other than those of this Agreement ("Non-Compatible License" ). Code or content under the following licenses, for example, are prohibited: GNU General Public License (GPL), Lesser GPL (LGPL) (unless you are merely dynamically linking a shared library), or Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. Code or content under the following licenses, for example, are allowed: BSD License, MIT License, Microsoft Public License, or Apache License. You may not sublicense the Licensed Technology under a Non-Compatible License.
They exclude the most important free software license and a popular permissive content license by choosing terms that are incompatible with them, and they make sure you know that by explicitly listing it :)

Thanks for that. Wouldn't have noticed it otherwise. After I had so much fun in Rogue Legacy, this looks like just the right thing!
