X Rebirth Space Sim Now On Linux In Alpha Form & Free On Steam For The Weekend

I'm not into this kinda of games (my loss I suppose) so I just played just a couple of minutes.
It works pretty good (80 - 100 FPS when not recording) but it also shows graphical corruptions (weird colors, missing textures etc) if you start altering the graphical textures while you're playing.

Dying Light Major Patch Released, Performance Finally Okay On Linux (UPDATED)

Quoting: dubigrasuIs clearly an improvement in performance, probably with a very good PC it might be playable.
Not for me though: AMD FX8350, GTX 780, 16 GB RAM and I have something like 30 FPS from previously 20.
Hope they don't stop here.
What kind of settings were you using? I have a GTX 770, and if the 780 gets about 30 fps, I think I should wait for some more patches after all.
With every possible setting on low and with the lowest possible 16:9 resolution you can get this:

I use a 1920x1080 res and the view distance set to minimum.
Changing the rest of the settings (shadows/foliage/grain/etc) makes no difference whatsoever.

I'm inclined to believe that the performance improvement that we see is caused mainly by the SSAO removal, which is not something that I would call an improvement.

Also some of the zombies (still) have missing heads.
I know they are zombies, but come on...

Steam Hardware Survey For February 2015
8 Mar 2015 at 8:00 pm UTC

Quoting: minjI actually got it this time around after a hiatus of a year or more. No reinstall required.
Well, I'm thinking that you have a better chance to get the survey when you install Steam. So for those with older and stable installations the chances to get it are very slim.
Maybe Windows users are reinstalling the OS more frequently?
I know that at least among my friends/relatives/coworkers the method of reinstall Windows is the solution of choice when something is going wrong/sluggish etc.

Just a thought.
