Supernatural horror adventure ASYLUM looks creepy as hell in the latest footage

I think they initially started developing Asylum with their own Dagon engine (Scratches engine?...not sure), then had a small affair with Unity before finally switching to Unreal. This might explain at least partially why it took so long.

Google Stadia is out now for early adopters, well a few anyway

Well, that input lag from the Post is ridiculously bad, there must be something going on there. Bad connection, bad setup, bad luck, bad...something.
I mean, Stadia can't be worse than other streaming services that are working fairly well (can't it?)
Take GeForce Now for example, I have a beta tester key (or whatever is called) and I must say the experience is pretty good. Sucks that isn't available for Linux, but it does work. Definitely it won't satisfy everyone though, that's for sure.
For casuals like me, OTOH, is just fine.

Here's a small video recording showing what to expect from Geforce Now (and I expect at least that level of performance from Stadia).
Keep an eye on the bottom left corners where there's an input indicator, so you can approximate the lag involved.

Oh, the stream quality is also excellent, whatever artifacts you see are Youtube's doing.

Small Mode returns to Steam, Broadcast Settings appear on Linux and more on Steam Cloud Gaming

Broadcasting works for me though, not that I've done much testing, just tried on the same system.
Oh, the sound seems busted though.

Love the achievement "screenshot", very well done, for a couple of seconds I thought it was for real somehow.

I just hope this is not Feral's swan song. (or should I say penguin song?)

Valve rolls out the new Steam Library and Remote Play Together for everyone

Well, I got fed up with the slowdowns, occasional hangs and the high CPU usage just by having the client running. I really don't know why would they push this to stable when is clearly still beta material. Is shinny and cute alright, but seems to bursts at the seams from bugs. (and really, while not essential, its fonts inconsistencies and the truncated text on the left panel are driving me mad)

I found on another drive a stable client (the version just before this update), made its "package " folder read-only and set it as my main steam client. Now it can't update itself and I have an usable steam client. Have no idea for how long will it be compatible, but hopefully by then the actual client will sort its issues out.

I have mixed feelings about this. I welcomed the new UI because progress and all, but soon enough I found myself reverting to the stable client (and for years I used only the beta client).
I do like the direction they took, but as an interface is inconsistent and fragile. Feels like it was put together in haste and I believe it is too early to push this to stable status.

Google want Stadia to have exclusive games other platforms can't support

Well, I'm more interested in the half-full part of the glass and say, bring it on.
Google knows they have only one chance to make it right and I see they pouring a lot of impressing tech and brainstorming into this, can't be all that bad.

The Linux port of Shadow of Mordor from Feral Interactive has gained a Vulkan Beta, a massive difference

I see some graphical weirdness (sky messed up) in the benchmark sequence. Some other reports on Steam forums complaining about models missing (like me, on AMD & Mesa 19.2x).

Switching to Mesa 19.3.0 solved the issue though AFAICS, also AMDVLK seems issues free.
