Quoting: jensMeh, failed joke. It somehow sounded funny in my head. You kept saying (La)Strada instead of Stadia.Quoting: dubigrasu@jens, are you a Fellini fan? :PNot that I know, had to google the name Fellini ;). I guess you mean the Italian film director?
Would you mind to explain? ;)

So I'm curious how compatible Linux/Stadia with Linux will be. Yes, is Debian and Vulkan and so on.
Take for example the UE4 and Unity editors, we currently have the option to export to Windows, Linux and various consoles.
So will there be an "export to Stadia" apart from the already existing Linux, or plain Linux will suffice?

And they're looking for SteamOS testers https://old.reddit.com/r/SteamOS/comments/aynflw/need_steamos_testers_for_game/ [External Link]
I'm a SteamOS user myself, but card games are not my cup of tea.

Valve is getting back to focusing on gaming, with non-gaming videos being retired

I have Netflix and for a while I had also Hulu and some others, but the content was somewhat overlapping so got rid of them (except Netflix yes)
Nevertheless, I was missing out certain shows and eventually resorted to Stremio, it has Linux support and works pretty good.
My main movie/TV shows resource is still Netflix, for which I pay gladly, but heck, occasionally I do step into the dark side.

Quoting: pbBy the way, a recent study showed that the growth of different subscription services is driving users back to piracy, because every new platform aims to have its own exclusives and people refuse to pay for more than two subs.Huh, this is a good point.

In any case, you can still easily find all the movies using the Steam client in Big Picture mode, section Store > Videos. Check out for example Oats Studios movies (plenty of them free), some of them are really good, some of them downright funny, if somewhat disturbing...

But all these are workarounds and some of them not really reliable or easy to set up for the guy that buys a Steam Machine.

Quoting: SalvatosI do use the web client on my SteamOS. You can use it in the "Linux Desktop mode" or just (while in the BPM) hit LB on your controller and add Netflix/ to your bookmarks. Eventually just add them as "games" on your library (old video):Quoting: scaineI suspect this is a (or another) reason that Steam devices didn't really take off. Playstation and Xbox both allow Netflix, Spotify and others on their consoles. Why would you buy a SteamPC that doesn't support any of that. Pretty ridiculous.Quoting: dubigrasuGood thing I guess. Can't people just use the web clients on SteamOS?
I feared at one point that Valve deliberately ignored having Netflix/Amazon/etc apps available on their SteamOS/Steam Machines because they tried to push their own movie store.
