Quoting: dubigrasuSo why not using Phoronix test suite for this?
Is Linux/Windows, easy to install and can run tests in controlled conditions easy to reproduce.
I am no expert, but I believe the Phoronix tests are designed to benchmark hardware by having a consistent batch of games to test against. Does it have the ability to plug in different games?
You can use an awful lot of games, reorder/highlight the results using various criteria, save results in various forms, compare your tests with others, view detailed hardware/test/logs details and what else:

Quoting: rustybroomhandleAlthough, I have spent most of my time playing Euro Truck Sim 2 with it. Also totally transformed the experience, even though the force feedback stuff does not seem to be implemented on Linux.
.
Don't know about a wheel, but (on Euro Truck 2 Sim) there is force feedback on my Xbox 360 controller.

Medieval II: Total War Collection released for Linux & SteamOS

Quoting: hiryuI tried Total War Attila today for the first time today too... and the performance there is terrible on the same hardware. A little googling show's that Attila's performance is TERRIBLE in Linux.
One note though, using the OpenGL renderer the performance is almost the same on both systems (slightly better on Linux using AMD).
