OK, thanks.
Your TITAN is a nice beast, I have the same CPU but an older GTX 780 (can't believe that I said older) and I get only 45 average FPS on Ultra.

Quoting: N30NWhat CPU do you have?Quoting: liamdaweNote: This shows my 970 performing better than the 980 Ti and Titan X tested over at Phoronix, so his benchmark is very odd.My Titan X (driver v352.30) running at 1920x1200 on Ultra settings, with the HD Content, gets the following results.
Average FPS: 79.59
Max FPS: 115.81
Min FPS: 44.91

I noticed that when trying to synchronize them, is sometimes the shorter pants, sometimes objects and most of the time barrel explosions and their debris trajectory are different.
No effect on results yes, I ran the benchmarks usually six times (or more when needed) and discarded highest and lowest results.
On the Linux side I tried multiple drivers; 352.09/352.30/355.06 with no visible difference.

Quoting: tuubiWhat's with the healthy green glow and shorter trousers on the Uruk in the Windows benchmark? Most likely no real effect on the benchmark result but I guess if I was into Uruk legs or preferred them Hulk-coloured, I'd be a bit unhappy with the unequal treatment. Just look at the guys standing at the left and right edges in this grab from dubigrasu's video. There are slight differences every time you run the benchmark on both Windows and Linux. The settings in the video were at High on both systems, and you get those Uruk legs on Windows too.

Quoting: MohandevirYou are right Dubigrasu. With the GTX 750, Phoronix gets an average of 18fps at High. I get 29.5 fps.Yeah, those results seemed weird to me, so I had to see test it myself:

Quoting: dubigrasuWindows & SteamOS benchmark on the same hardware:And the video:
i7-4790K, GTX 780, 16GB RAM.
Windows 7 Ultimate, Nvidia driver 353.62
SteamOS Alchemist, Nvidia drivers 352.09
Apparently due to my graphics card low (3072!) VRAM memory, on Ultra settings both systems were very unstable (Windows throwing error messages and crashing while SteamOS working but with heavy stutter), so I left these out.
Also on Windows there is an additional setting (Order Independent Transparency) absent from the Linux version main settings and always set to 0 (on Linux), so I disabled it on Windows too.

Or I was badly expressing them.
So it seems that what I said above about a prepared list of questions was somehow interpreted as a silly instigation for an ambush by whining and baiting VP into a bad looking interview.
Since English is not my first language I choose to think that I need more improvement with the aforementioned language, because that was totally not what I was suggesting.
At the same time I still wonder how could it be interpreted this way when my real attitude towards VP can be observed in the same very post/quote, where I enthusiastically cheered for the VP guys : Go VP go!

Quoting: vultureI think you badly misunderstood my intentions.Quoting: dubigrasuso, basically... you just stated in PUBLIC that purpose of interview should be ambush by whining?Quoting: liamdaweWe could make a list with "uncomfortable questions & accusations " some of us here surely have for VP and use it in you interview.Quoting: dubigrasuGo VP go!Well now, that's a beautiful idea. I was just thinking about that...
Liam, how about an interview with these guys?

Still curious about OpenGL performance on both systems, so now that I resurrected the Windows install I made a comparison benchmark:

I doubt they ignored the bugs. Most likely they've tested the game in house on a very limited set of HW/SW configurations where those bugs weren't triggered.
Once a game is released it will have to face a myriad of setups and probably other bugs will emerge.
What they should do is put up a test branch and let us test the game before the official release.
This is especially true for their (VP) ports with their controversial wrapper.

Quoting: dawidd6As you can see here, the performance of SoM on linux compared to windows version is not goodThose results are way too low for Linux. I'm getting better results than Michael with inferior hardware.
