Quoting: NanobangSunburst, I'm delighted to see you bringing little gems like this to light from itch.io! There's so much real experimentation and devotion to creativity at itch.io, so many worldviews and alternate realities packed into that website that would go unsung without folks like you pointing them out. Thanks for your efforts. I look forward to your future discoveries.
Thanks for your positive comments, as always. I'm glad you enjoy reading about these overlooked titles as much as I enjoy finding them.

I have enough material to write approximately 150 more articles, but obviously that may take some time (that is, years) due to my outdated PC, extremely limited budget and, above all, considerable time restraints. But in the meantime feel free to go back in time. :)

Quoting: Purple Library GuyIt is almost exactly what I would want to avoid experiencing, so like why would I deliberately go experience it?
Because it's just a game, and nothing is real?

shouldn't take you more than a quarter to finish.
Wow, 3 months is a long game...;-)
Thanks for pointing it out. Also, remember you can use directly the "For spelling, grammar and other corrections to our article—click here" button. :)

Quoting: g000hI like this style of game, it's close to Quake deathmatch.
Indeed, it plays like Quake III Arena.

Quoting: g000hHowever, watching some game play I'm not keen on the weapons and the way they work (i.e. the accompanying audio, animations, bullet tracks, etc).
You might be interested to read this [External Link], then.

Quoting: chrI think there are a few options to try to emulate a controller on smartphone if you happen to have one of those. If you need, I can search my history and bookmarks for them.
The thing is: what would matter to other GOL readers is to know if a controller works as expected when they use it on this game, or if there is an issue they have to be aware of.

Still, thanks for your suggestion! :)

Quoting: KayKay91Yo ya forgot to mention SLADE [External Link] which also can be used for map editing.
I'm not sure if the wording made it totally clear, but it wasn't meant to be a comprehensive list; in fact, there might be even more editors with Linux support "hidden" somewhere...

Still, thanks for mentioning SLADE, so that now other people can check it out. :)

Hmmm... it seems we had a disturbance in time!

It's fixed now. Just please remember to use next time the "For spelling, grammar and other corrections to our article—click here" button near the bottom of the article. At a personal level I don't mind people posting corrections on the comments, but it's just a requirement made by the editors.

Thanks!

Quoting: razing32Humm after starting the download a lot of these are tools not supported on Linux :(
Yes, it was mentioned on the article.

Of course, not necessarily all the courses will be related to Linux, and there is certainly a chance that some of the contents are already outdated, but still you might be able to find something interesting or useful, even more if you can't afford to spend too much money right now.

Thanks to Proton, you can have 'A Date in the Park' in this intriguing free short adventure; some thoughts

Quoting: DrMcCoyHuh, I don't get why you'd play it with Proton. That's an AGS game.

I played that, a few years ago, with a native AGS build I compiled myself.
Not every Linux user is a programmer.

Quoting: DrMcCoyI wish the dev would just publish a Steam package using a proper AGS build for Linux.
Did you try sending the developers the build you compiled?

I bought Splatter - Zombie Apocalypse for only 0.49 USD and so far it's an incredibly fun game (specially the third level which is terrific).

Quoting: lucinosAlso what is your problem with "short" games. I love short games especially 140 type. Game like this the longer, the worst are for me. I just want to try them, have their difficulty but finish them and go on with my life. I do not want length. 140 had the perfect length.
It depends on every game, but for this one, I just felt there was potential for more content, and it was a shame that it ended so abruptly.

You have to look at the objects directly. If you do it right, they will start to glow and then you'll be able to pick them up.
