Quoting: Shmerl"some trying to justify exclusives and lock-in as a valid methodology"Quoting: stretch611Ars picked up that story from here? Wow, call me shocked. Ars pretty much ignores linux... except for a few small server related articles once every six months or so.They don't usually write about Linux, but they did report about Steam Machines in the past, so it's not unexpected to see a follow up. However amount of anti-Linux comments for that article is really weird, as well as some trying to justify exclusives and lock-in as a valid methodology.

I solemnly swear,
To devote my life and ability,
In defense of the United Nations of Earth,
To defend the Constitution of Man,
And to further the universal rights of all sentient life,
From the depths of the Pacific,
To the edge of the galaxy,
For as long as I, shall, live
:'(

Maybe the real problem are the Linux gamers buying Windows games...

Sadly Linux is less than a percent of the sales and keeps dwindling. SteamOS didn't turn out to be what we all hoped. The Linux community needs to grow or spend more to stay viable.1/2 Million active Linux users only on Steam.. .how many active users are enough to consider Linux a viable market???

Quoting: ZlopezNever ever EVER pre-order!!!Quoting: Alm888Steam and GOG are encouraging this type of behaviour. Even Valve itself did this with HTC Vive! What about kickstarter?
I've yet to see a single developer who got punished for release-day cancelling.
At this stage the "No Tux == No Bucks" and "Never Pre-Order" rules are obligatory.
