Quoting: KelsI'm seeing more customizable difficulty settings lately and honestly I love the idea. Sometimes it's not that people don't want a challenge, it's that they have difficulty with an aspect of gameplay. If you can modify it to suit, that widens your audience. Sure, it annoys people who spend entirely too time resenting "casuals", but I'd actually call that a plus.
I dont have any problems with casual gamers, I have problem with casual gamers telling Devs how to make games.
Wider audiences doesnt mean more sales, I have seen many games with casual difficulties that doesnt sell the million copies that hardcore games has sold. So it seems casual gamers aren't that fond to spend money, when they have hundred of free games that offer the casual experience they want.
So, casual gamers not only annoys to "hardcore" ones who like to mock about how they just finished Dark Souls as if that was a big thing, but also devs who knows these gamers doesnt buy games at full price.

Quoting: ThorstenFolkersWe rely on some Steam matchmaking features for the online Multiplayer and also copy-protection. So a DRM-free version is possible in the future but is not something we are working towards at the moment.

Thanks!

Thorsten
Thank you for your response! Sadly, I'm not interested anymore and will pass. Good luck!
Stop the production and drop the project, he is not interested anymore!!

OMG LOL. "DRM free" kids are so entitled.

It looks good, Im interested in local splitscreen.

Intel launches their new CPUs with Radeon RX Vega M Graphics along with two new 'NUC' mini-pc models

Quoting: EagleDeltaI understand your feelings, but if that's how you feel, then you shouldn't use computers.
Such a long post to justify something that actually could be avoided if testing before releasing were done properly, then Intel jumping into new models and products while old stuff is still broken isnt good. Im pretty sure intel will keep pushing new stuff in order that people forget about this meltdown problem because they cant fix it, those models are just too deep broken.
"I understand your feelings" no you dont, and stop telling people to stop using something just because they expect quality and responsibility from manufacturers.

Valve has added 11 new currencies to the Steam Store

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoThey removed Paypal in Argentina, by the way...
but that is not a problem because they added local payments systems like Rapipago and pagofacil, so people without credit or debit cards now can buy games and Steam wallet credit just using cash.

This is an excellent method for to fight against the bad called piracy, because now, a game on sale will be more cheapest than the illegal copy available on the street.
Not only to fight piracy but actually to counter those G2A users which argument is "Steam doesnt accept my debit card".

For my country, many, many games are way much cheaper, while some AAA games are actually more expensive, but since Im indie guy I cant care less for some Ubisoft or Bethesda titles.

LOL, many games are as half of the price equivalent on USD, so Im pretty much happy about this change. I cant even imagine the price of those games on the next winter sale...

The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows Linux market-share has declined again

I cant hardly believe Im on gamingonlinux, this looks more like the Steam forums when everyone loves to speculate about "how much dead" is linux and how Valve is the bad guy.

That guy who said every gamer out there just want to play AAA sh!t, well Sherlock, maybe many are waiting for PES, but not every of us are behind COD, PES, FIFA or NFS sh!t, sorry if that disappoint you bro.

Those who say Valve didnt tried enough and actually games came to Linux by themselves, please if that is some kind of joke, please make it to sound funny at least. Nobody had actually tried to do nothing for linux in terms of gaming but Valve. If most of you are just giving up because these numbers, well, dont blame Valve when Linux player base behaves likes democrats blaming everyone else for their lost but themselves. Stop using that Linux distros which arent made for games, I just heard how about Archlinux is broken with this game or that game, stop using those distros.

Then its fun how people are forgetting that Steam is growing, everyday newbies make accounts to buy games, as the PC playerbase is growing faster, the first stop for the rookie PC gamer is WINDOWS. Dont come as you didnt know that, everybody here was or still is Windows user.
So PC gaming is growing fast, new countries are being taken into account and most of new PC gamers are using Windows, because they come from consoles. So take it with a grain of salt, and instead of whining or speculate, help others to make their way to Linux easier, and stop recommending Arch Linux, Ubuntu and Steam OS should be the way.

Linux problem is easy to guess, too MANY DISTROS, most of them doesnt receive updates or has broken drivers.

The developers of 'Darkwood' have put up a free torrent if you can't afford to buy it

Quoting: chancho_zombieI never thought it that way publishers prefer to get pirated than you to buy from g2a or kinguin. Sometimes I buy a few keys from g2a because other sites they simply don't like my money I use a visa debit card and argentinian currency is banned in some sites. Some sites will ban currency exchange from ARS to USD or EUR, or whatever. Is the price I've got to pay for living in unstable country with 30 per cent of inflation, my money is worth nothing so I'm lucky that g2a takes my money.
I dont want to sound or be harsh towards you but your excuse sounds lame, I live in a third world country too, Costa Rica, and I have bought games on GMG, Steam, Humble bundle and GoG with my debit card, the most simple debit card the bank can give.
You say a company should never take on users but sometimes users abuse of devs and companies, and buying on g2a makes you an abuser...
And as you can see it seems other user here from Argentina also reports that he had no problems buying with his card, so, I smell something fishy here...
