I enjoyed the first two games on Linux, and I'm looking forward to playing this one, too.

Count me in for the giveaway :)

Nice. I had no idea this was being worked on, so it's a pleasant surprise to me. Getting the original to run on Arch was troublesome, but it was fun once I got it working.

Quoting: KelsIt's a pretty fun game honestly, but I got up to the puzzle with the 8 switches and I have no idea how to get past it but tedious trial and error so I gave up. There aren't much in the line of hints that I can see, and nothing to indicate when you get the puzzle partly right so you know you're on the right track.
A lot of people had problems with this puzzle, so I redesigned it for the next upcoming version, 1.01. The new puzzle better follows the logic for the previous switch puzzles in that area. The new version should go up sometime this weekend.
That sounds good. Will I need to replay the game up to that point with the new version, or what?
You won't need to restart in order to see the new puzzle.

If you act fast you can grab a key for the demo of Disgaea 2 and it runs on Linux already

FYI, you can turn off the character filter effect in the "PC Settings" options menu. I think it makes it more bearable to look at. I like that they made HD menus and character portraits (and included the option to use the old ones). I just wish the rest of the assets got redone as well. Nonetheless, it's a good port imho.

It might be worth trying OBS for recording. When using XComposite window capture, I generally get better performance than SSR.

On the topic of UT, I'm disappointed there's no friends list support on Linux yet. I wanted to play with my friends the other day, so I had to manually navigate to the server they were in. Not very elegant. Of course, the game is still in development, but this seems like a strange thing to be (PC) platform-dependent.
