I can confirm that this game works very well on my PC too: CPU AMD A10-7850K, GPU ATI 7850 1GB, RAM 8GB 2133 Mhz, latest open source radeonsi (mesa 11.0.5) drivers, Manjaro (an Arch Linux derivative).

This game is really difficult: on my first mission I died in no time.

Feral Interactive are teasing yet another SteamOS & Linux game

Spoiler, click me

In the last "The Big Bang Theory" episode (S09E08), Sheldon, Raj and Howard publish an announce on Craiglist filled with very difficult puzzles that if solved can bring a woman to Sheldon's house to meet him and became his girlfriend. This way he can select the most intelligent woman on Earth. They also set a deadline: 10 second after it a very beautiful and intelligent woman appears at the door. She introduces herself, and damn! she's a genius! But Sheldon slams the door in her face telling her "I'm sorry, but you missed my deadline".

That's exactly my point about following the hype train: they'll release a game that will not work on my AMD gfx card, so who cares about those puzzles!

It's a very interesting video.
I haven't checked very well, but judging by the FPS the game is slower under Linux: NVidia is 30% slower and AMD 50%.
Overall visual quality seems very close to me on every platform/card.

Wasteland 2 Director's Cut: it's so broken that 2 weeks after release it still doesn't start on Linux... (I was hit by this: https://forums.inxile-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?p=159807#p159807 [External Link] but I refuse to edit my system limits only to play a game)

EDIT: And the "Vanishing of Ethan Carter" still not on Linux
