Linux & Steam running on the PS4 playing Bastion is impressive

Well, the ps4 is basically a PC (and don't forget that ps4's operating system, "Orbis OS", is a modified BSD) so running any modern pc operating system shouldn't be a problem. (I believe, the trickiest part should be installing and getting the boot loader to actually work)

New major version of OBS Studio recording and livestreaming software released

Quoting: SnowdrakeFor archlinux users please note the latest opencv package did broke obs dependency.
Not really you just need to rebuild deps that depend on opencv. In this case you probably use ffmpeg-full-nvenc. You need to rebuild it otherwise applications that depend on ffmpeg will crash just like OBS or MPV.

ldd /usr/bin/obs | grep opencv
libopencv_imgproc.so.3.1 => /usr/lib/libopencv_imgproc.so.3.1 (0x00007f3d0b189000)
libopencv_core.so.3.1 => /usr/lib/libopencv_core.so.3.1 (0x00007f3d0a479000)

ldd /usr/bin/mpv | grep opencv
libopencv_imgproc.so.3.1 => /usr/lib/libopencv_imgproc.so.3.1 (0x00007fba9b1a1000)
libopencv_core.so.3.1 => /usr/lib/libopencv_core.so.3.1 (0x00007fba9a491000)
You're right ! I totally forgot to rebuild ffmpeg +nvenc after the opencv update. Thank you.

Wasn't Heavy Gear 2 ported by Loki?
Ah! You're right !
I totally forgot about this game, I've bought it from lgp some years ago; sadly, I've never been able to get it to work on gentoo.
I'll have to find the box again and try it on archlinux.

Heavy Gear Assault heading to Linux

Nice.
I've spent hours on Mechwarrior 2 on my old 486DX2 during my childhood, but I've never touched a single game in the heavy gear series. But seeing a native mech game on linux is pretty excinting.
