(Though it's still 2.0)
We don't have permission to release anything beyond 2.0 yet.

The flatpak illustrates my point as it was broken for a long time, having upgraded the version of gzdoom to one which didn't run with the version 2.0 mod.

I'm not sure if your two replies posting links to flatpaks is implicit criticism of the existence of the snap, but I can assure you that both myself and the flatpak maintainer are happy for both to exist for anyone who wants to use them. I have no qualms about pinching good ideas from the flatpak for the snap.

Yep. There's a gzdoom snap as well. However, it makes sense to bundle the mod with a known-working version of gzdoom. For example, the previous release of chapters 1 and 2 is somewhat incompatible with the current gzdoom release. The aim is to reduce friction.

I'm hoping to have the snap build ready for release day. It isn't so simple getting this running on Ubuntu, because the mod targets the latest version of gzdoom and the gzdoom dev is refactoring the build process in a way which is slightly incompatible with the libraries and cmake versions of the Ubuntu lts releases. It is one of the few occasions where I wish I was on Arch! Hopefully the snap will be helpful for fellow Ubuntu users, and anyone else who is happy with the snap ecosystem. I'd be grateful for any feedback after launch day.

I'm currently about 12 hours into Arcanum (via WINE) and 3 hours into Pathfinder: Kingmaker. So far, I can recommend both. Plenty of fun to be had in this sale!

Yes, it works with both.

I started building a snap for this as the AppImage just segfaulted back on Ubuntu 19.10. These days my snap seems to work (with a few rough edges) for the Steam Controller used via the dongle. I haven't tried Bluetooth or other controllers, yet, as I don't have the hardware; testers and bug-reporters welcome!

I'll have a look at making a release for the new version this evening.

Wolfenstein - Blade of Agony Chapter 3 gets a teaser, overhauled Chapter 1 & 2 coming

The released version (which has the early drafts of chapters 1 and 2) requires an old version of gzdoom. If you build the development version it requires the latest version of gzdoom. At this stage the development version is the one to play imho, as the game is nearly complete. If you do want to play the old version the easiest way might be with the snap package I have on the store. There is also a flatpak which worked well, but when I last checked that 6 months ago it was broken. Hopefully that has been fixed.

I've been packaging the snap, and cannot wait to show off the final version. They've done a great job!

Quoting: slaapliedjeGuess the question is, can the Raspberry Pi 4 handle PS2 games? I may have to take my old tower and use it as a games console... been tempted to do it anyhow..
I'd be surprised (and delighted) if it was playable. My low-end amd hardware can just about run GT2 with some slowdowns, and that's considerably more capable than a pi 4. It'd be good to hear your experience. If it runs smoothly, I'll be buying a pi 4!
