OpenRazer v3.6 brings support for 11 more Razer devices

Just to clarify, OpenRazer is NOT mantained by Razer themselves.
Its convoluted(requires background server), unreliable software, which I suspect is reverse engineered.
Background server is not necessary trivial to set up on non standard distro, like Gentoo for example.
Unless you are migrating from Win to Linux and already have Razer devices - don't think that this software will allow for extra functionality of your Razer devices.
And... IMHO Razer devices are inferior.
Had one broken down on me in less than one year of use.
Libratbag+Piper+Logitech(first check supported models) - is a way to go.

HDR and Colour Management patches for Steam Deck + AMD GPUs under review

Media Players, that's what I want. And games.
Rest of Windows in my GUI, is a bonus.
Most youtube content is not HDR anyway. And stuff that advertises itself as one, is usually not HDR either.

Quoting: LamdarerTo be fair FireFox doesnt even have HDR support on Windows. Would be nice if it gets a push once Linux has HDR support. (maybe even before Chromium get's it under Linux?)Me personally, can't care more for Firefox and other browsers with HDR.

Quoting: whizseYou're thinking of AMDVLK, the driver from AMD. It's not widely used but I'm not sure if half-baked is the correct description. You are right thanks for correction.

Who uses RADV?
Isn't AMDGPU the most prevalent AMD driver on Linux?
I was under impression that RADV is half baked driver implementation from AMD directly?
Did something change in a while or?

Thery can minimize reputation hit by releasing device early, if all or most 3rd party bells and whistles like memory cards, cases etc, are cross compatible between gen 1 and gen 2 devices.

Thats what I have. gnome 3 for wayland(albeit i can use it with Xorg too) and XFCE4 for X11(because if I could have XFCE4 on Wayland - id have this one instead).

Quoting: voxYou can have both, X11 and Wayland on same machine.Quoting: lejimsterI keep trying to switch over to Wayland, but there is always a few quirks on gnome that wind me up and put me off using it full time, I really should test KDE as it's probably just gnome issues. Anyway, I wonder if this will have any benefits over gamescope? Even less latency? I was planning to do some testing with gamescope as it works so well on the steam deck but I haven't got around to it yet. Does anyone here run gamescope on their PC?I'm on KDE and I have the impression from the internet discussions that Wayland on GNOME is considered more stable/mature/whatever. There are some bugs or absent features in KDE that may make Wayland experience worse. I'm still on X11 and waiting. You can track some of the problems here: https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Wayland_Showstoppers [External Link]
