Funko issue a statement about the itch.io take-down, while also apparently calling itch founder's mom

I have just one question:
- How/why does Funko have his mothers phone number?

There's a couple of missions where Johnny appears in the car like that, I hope they did it slightly differently for the random ones.

I crashed my car in one of the missions the first time he did it, as I didn't expect it and it made me jump when there was suddenly someone next to me.

Doing everything yourself . . . ah, this must be some new meaning of the word "convenient" that I hadn't heard before.
Think of it like buying a car. It's far more convenient and simple if when you go to the dealer they deliver your car as the source components. You just get the metal pieces, then weld the chassis together, start building the engine, bolt the parts onto the chassis, etc. followed by the rest of the cars parts. It's just far more convenient than simply going out and buying a car that's already built and having to then modify it to suit your needs.

That's the convenience of gentoo, you're basically given a toolbox, and the parts and you've got to put it together.

Quoting: tmtvlAh, but with Gentoo it's easier to manage the compilation flags of the software you install so you can squeeze out more performance, so that's better for the 1337 g@mers with the custom built PCs with water cooling and all that nonsense. Joking aside, I think Tumbleweed might also be good for someone who just wants to play games as you get up-to-date drivers and everything without having to do the scary big update dance every couple of months (plus it makes it easy to set up automatic backups).
Haha, let me just say as a Gentoo user with a custom built PC, it's not about being '1337' it's about having control over how things are setup. Some of us just want the simplicity of doing it yourself. Quick applying of patches, able to modify the software easily, etc, etc.

It's just convenient.

What you're meaning to refer to, is arch users. We don't get time to post how 1337 we are, we're too busy compiling our software.

Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White

Quoting: Purple Library GuyDunno what everyone's excited about. This "white" colour does not sound very much like purple to me.
It has been discovered that some people find the colour purple offensive and therefore new international laws have been put in place to rectify this issue.

Going forward no products or designs may feature the colour purple.

(Joking!)

Valve dev details more on the work behind making Steam for Linux more stable

They may be better off embracing the flatpak more closely, as it'll make it easier to port between different distributions.

In any case, more stability is always welcome! I did find it a little amusing at how steam recording on my steam deck kills the game and GUI, resetting it entirely (drop to CLI, then GUI restarts) when you stop recording or go to recording settings while recording in a non-steam game.

I was just testing it though, so it wasn't a big deal. No matter, I don't need it nor care.

Steam gets new tools for game devs to offer players version switching in-game
9 Nov 2024 at 12:35 am UTC

Quoting: elmapulhoneslty, this shouldnt be opitional but mandatory, so developers cant screw players by removing content they paid for, or doing patches that destroy the game.

i can understand balance patches on multiplayer, but the same game single player being affected, should be optional, if i dont care about becoming pro, i dont care if the damage of my attacks is different on singleplayer vs multiplayer for example.
Three options in the case of games likely to remove content or remove it from you:
- GOG
- Zoom Platform
- Pirated

No one can force you to upgrade (or downgrade in the case of DRM) the game. Sure, it's manual setup but I'll take manual setup over potential loss of something I paid for.
