Tropico 5 is DRM free on Steam. I highly recommend it.

Hopefully, the DRM free tradition will live on. :)

Did the new Linux kernel CoC affect this guy in any way? It doesn't seem like the two are related.
The guy stopped working on his own project because he disagrees with the policy of another project? That doesn't make sense.

Quoting: STiATIt's a store and launcher, where the games are bound to your account. So of course there is DRM in some way.
So is Steam, yet not all games have DRM on Steam. DRM on Steam is optional. Game developers/producers decide if they want to use it or not.

Tropico 5, for example, is DRM free on Steam for Linux. You can install it via Steam, then run it after uninstalling Steam. Can you do the same with this launcher?

Quoting: pbI'd be interested in re-playing Talvisota, but how good is the game in general?
There is no base building. You get a few units at the start of each mission and various reinforcements.

In skirmish and multiplayer you get to buy more units via points you earn by capturing and holding various strategic points across the map.

I really like the concept overall. It's not too deep and not too shallow. Units have ammo, fuel and various damage indicators that you need to manage. You can also pause the game in the missions and skirmish mode to issue lots of orders.

The gameplay feels very realistic as the combat is more slow paced than other WW2 strategy games. You actually have to consider things like movement speed and fuel when trying to blitz across the map.

The support commander is the only one that can repair mechanical units up to 50% hit points. The other commanders can only repair damaged components.

If I remember correctly, some stats started being counted after most of the PC info stats started being counted on this site.

Cool. Thanks.

It would be great to have it DRM free.

Quoting: Avehicle7887c) Up until v1.07 (on GOG), the Linux version is missing the mods button the Windows one has (I don't know how is it on Steam).
So, it's possible to now get new maps to play on the gog version, right? The few skirmish maps I saw it had was the only turn-off so far.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)
